All these pictures are amazing!  Melkar you really know how to bring out the best in us Rennies.   Makes me really miss being around the shire folk.   You bring it all to mind so amazingly. Thank you!

OK, not a picture but...
I know I am probably the only one as into taking vids as I am lol
But here is my first video of the season, the parade on opening weekend!

Enjoy!

*Definitely going to have to redo it though. The rum had my camera wobbling at the start*

Just wait until March 20th, when the Queen's Own Highlanders will be marching in the 1 PM parade, bagpipes wailing, drums beating, pole arms and bare steel, stamping their feet. No sheep will be safe.

I plan to be there to video that one as well.
I wasn't real happy with my video skills on this one and that would be an awesome replacement.

*perhaps less rum before noon would help*

I had to go out of my way and rate it 5 stars on YouTube.

FINALLY!  My wife said that there lots of people photographing our little boy carrying one of our flasks above his head and calling, "Flask-es!", but I hadn't found any yet.  But there he is in your video!  Thanks for posting this!

Thanks for sharing your lovely photos everyone!
I really wished we could have gone.

We missed you and your hubby.  I hope we will see you at Scarby in the not too distant future  :)

I was only out for a few hours today, but here are the few pictures I did take:
http://photos.wearephoenixrisen.com/main.php?g2_itemId=5434
or:
http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=49298&id=1559636854&saved#!/album.php?aid=49298&id=1559636854&ref=nf
My knee was killing me so walking about like I wanted was out of the question. But, check out the picture of my new "Belt of Awesomeness"! My birthday gift from my Lovely Lady (took until now to be finished).
Also I was delayed by the wonderful Austin traffic and got there about 10 minutes after the parade so no video of that as I hoped. I do have a couple of other videos though and will post them whenever I am unlazy enough to edit them lol.

*the rum is working on soothing my bad knee tonight...*

I had energy this morning. Not a lot, but enough to edit one video:

The Bedlam Bards performing "The Dark Lady"

*Used my rum mug for a camera stand, not a bad plan there*

I saw you and your "Belt of awesomeness!" while they were fitting you into it  ;D

I think I recognized a few people from the boards at Sherwood but I was never sure enough to walk up and ask strange questions to strange people.

Here's some photos of our weekend (13th and 14th) at Sherwood!  http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=208607&id=521669991&ref=nf

I'm the man in the green shirt with the strange look on my face in most of the pictures (I'm not very photogenic) and the lady in blue is my wife.  Was our first faire in garb and I can safely say I loved every moment of it!

*Teach*

Don't worry about walking up to strangers. Most folks on the forum are quite used to that. And really, at faire there are no strangers...
Looking at your pictures, I remember you being in the booth. Wish you had said something about the forum.

*and I find that if you walk up and offer rum to new people they become friendly real fast*

Do introduce yourself at faire! I LOVE to meet folks from this forum! We are friendly! Come back and see us again at Sherwood!
