hello old tinker, this is Dale and Lynette Durham, we are new to the castleteer event and are looking forward to it, at this time we will be bringing fruit trays, also we are confirming that Mike and Jill will also be joining in the festivities and they will be bringing pumpkin bread. So, for the savoury bit, I will definitely be bringing garden vegetable turnovers (and this is my first go-round with making pastry dough, so be kind).  For the sweet, I'm leaving it up to the lot of you.

I can make a larger batch of dough for the turnovers and use half for the vegetable turnovers, and the other half for cherry and nutella turnovers, OR I can make some Banana Blueberry Ugly Cupcakes (err...muffins).  I can't decide, so people...YOU decide.  >_>

I vote Nutella! That is the stuff that heaven is made of! *nod*

I have NO IDEA what I'm bringing. It'll probably be either a fruit or vegetable tray, as I'll be traveling a long way and will stop at Meijer on the way in.

now you know your Papa Tinker is always a'watch'n though, and thee be right bout count'n down, but me thinks it will be a 10 day countdown this time, start'n this come'n Thursday (me's think'n the 27th as the "official" date). before all know it, we's all will be travel'n toward Loveland and the "Castle". sure wish it was this weekend, but whom is me to think me's could push this ol'earth any faster than she goes now.

since me ren daught has wake'n her Papa Tinker, and me's do see that tis a little quiet, lets review de'rules, as our "Captain humphrey" has state'd. me thinks that since there are many newbies upon the list'ns, that it may be wise to do so. so without any delay, please all read below:

The Castleteers have evolved to the point that (unfortunately) i feel rules are necessary. so here they are.

1. The Castleteer Gatherings are Adult Events. Not so much because we only do adult things and youngsters wouldn't fit in. It is because we are a large group, spread out over the interior and grounds of the Castle. It is impractical, if not impossible, to monitor everything and still be able to enjoy the festivities.

2. The Castleteer Gatherings are Garbed Events. This one is easy, it is because I say so.   The KOGT knows they have to be dressed to attend, so it is only fair everyone else is dressed too. lol (this rule is very connected to rule 3)

3. Only Those Who RSVP May Attend. The crowd control rule. You need to RSVP on one of the forums in order to be on the guest list. People come to visit the Castle 24/7, whether we are open or not, they will still come. That means strangers will often appear and simply invite themselves to the party. It happens all the time at the Castle. Feel free to take a bit of ownership and upon seeing someone that doesn't belong explain that the Castle is closed and currently being rented by a private party. If you are not comfortable doing this then simply find me....I love doing it. I am very polite, but forceful and have never had to raise my voice or cause a scene. Not once in 20 years. (well maybe once or twice, but you won't find the bodies)

4. These Are Potluck Dinners. Bring something. It shows participation and intent. You do not have to eat, I rarely do. But remember, it is the thought that counts.

5. BYOB. Self Explanatory. But please be responsible for your own gear. Also, refer to rules 2 and 3.

6. Have Fun, Make New Friends, Laugh A Little. You are missing the point if you don't follow this rule.

PS  and- to call yourself an " Official Castleteer", you must spend an entire night(that is sleeping there), in "Loveland Castle".
