I tried! I think the El Nino wizard might win this one!  DRAT!
If you like the weather- I did it. If you don't like it- tis not MY fault! LOL!

I think it'll be fine. Cloudy with a few sprinkles, not bad. Back home our house will be under a flood warning.

I thoroughly enjoyed the few showers we had at Scarby last year over Memorial weekend.  I got to know several people I might not have had the chance to chat with if we hadn't been huddled under trees or in shops together, and the lovely cool air was a wonderfully welcome break from the gathering heat.  The few muddy spots were a good excuse to hold onto the pirate who was escorting me, as well, so overall, I'd say it was beautiful weather!  ;)  :D

Saturday turned out to be marvelous yet again!
We had some light misting early in the day but the temps and the overcast meant we were able to stay much later than usual.
If you stayed home because of the forecast, you missed out.

It was a comfortable, enjoyable day for faire! The photographers loved the clouds!
We try to please! Fixing faire weather is not an easy job!

You did a great job on Saturday for the most part ;)
I only had to play the last show in the rain yesterday, but I think EVERY Stardancer show today was the "dancing mermaid show"...

Hey... I was concentrating my dragon taming on NASCAR this weekend...and I lost.
However....I'm sure that I tired him enough that he will no cry on Scarborough this coming weekend.

The weather, to me, was great. I'd rather have a few sprinkles and lots of clouds than the blazin' texas sun. I keep a journal, and had noted last year that it rained almost every day that I didn't attend and had indeed never been on a day when it was a washout. This weekend was the rainiest I had ever seen, and it was actually nice. I may not be a wizard, but I am a friend of the Dragon Reborn and one who has lived as a warrior in ages past, bending the pattern around myself as I move through life...I am ta'vereen (for fellow WOT fans). If I am at the Faire, the weather will be good.

I'll probably get drowned one weekend this year............

I belive there is no such thing as bad weather. There are just people who don't come prepared for all contingencies.  Hence the reason for som many pouchs on my belt.  ;D
It is kind of strange watching your personal history become costume.

Quote from: Ronald the Bald on April 07, 2010, 11:50:57 AMI think it was about 1997 that opening day was cancelled due to weather, rain, and lack of patrons. I was there of course.

I remember that day as one of my best. We sat in a hotel room with all of Queen Anne's Lace rehearsing their show, and Baron Rooke passed out sips of The Remedy as I combed out all of the girls long and lovely hair.

Ahhh, now THAT was an Opening Day!

Well said, my friend. Does not matter what the weather is, besides we can do swimming lessons in the jousting arena. ;D

Here's what Queen Bonnie and I have in store for you this weekend.... Let's see... for Saturday I believe we'll start out with a tiny bit of clouds but only a 10% chance that the dragon will cry. At opening canon let's keep it around 61 degrees. Around noon, I believe I'll move all the clouds so the beautiful Texas sky can show to the out of staters... let's crank it up to about 76 degrees.

On Sunday.... nae chance for the dragon to cry.... clear skies and the same temperatures.

How's that work fer ye?
