The theme for weekend # 4 is the Royal Ale Festival.
But it is also Mayday and I believe the Court will dance the "Velvet Maypole".

What time will the dance be?
2:30 according to the schedule
Thanks!  I'll be drumming for the Stardancers 5 shows on Sat, so I may come and watch after our 2:00 show.

They did the Velvet Maypole the last time MayDay was on a faire day, and there was a rumour that it was happening again this year.  I still haven't been able to confirm or deny it, though.  (However, to be honest, I haven't asked around too much as of yet.)  I'll try to check about and see if I can get confirmation on it for folks.

I am not an employee of Scarborough Faire and to not represent them in any way.

This will be the first weekend this year that we get to relax and stroll the Faire at our own pace.  :o

Much as I loved RenDevous, it was some exercise.  ;D

Traditionally, when the actual May Day fallas on a Faire day, rather than having the peasants perform the maypole dance, Their Majesties and the members of the Court perform the maypole dance.
The 'velvet' refers to velvet court garb.
