Therefore any links to sites selling photos taken on the festival grounds without the express written consent of Scarborough Renaissance Festival will be removed.

Does this include photo hosting sites that allow you to order prints of your photos?

I interpret that as no different from downloading one of the photos and sending it to Walgreen for printing. You personally are not profiting from the photos that you took so you are not using the photos for commercial gain.

Scarborough's rules do not allow commercial photography.

I would also like to point out that unless you have a signed release from the subject, you do not have the legal right to sell pictures of them to anyone else, regardless of the venue.

The pictures are nice - offering to sell them is both illegal and in very poor taste.

Paul is correct. Scarby's legal information does state:

Scarborough Renaissance Festival Copyright

All film, recording and video taping rights of activities on the Festival grounds and the use of the name Scarborough Renaissance Festival are private property and may not be commercially used or duplicated without the express written consent of Scarborough Renaissance Festival.

Therefore any links to sites selling photos taken on the festival grounds without the express written consent of Scarborough Renaissance Festival will be removed.

I was not aware that I was breaking the rules. I have removed the ability to purchase my Scarborough Fair photos. Charging for prints and digital downloads is how zenfolio.com works. There is not a way on zenfolio.com to allow digital downloads without a fee paid to zenfolio.com. So, I will have to investigate other options to make digital downloads available to people. I did not intend to break any rules and I do not agree that it was in poor taste.

That's what I thought as well, but wanted to be sure.  Thanks!

I'm a bit behind on my posting, but I'm just finishing putting up the shots from Sunday, May 2nd.  They should be up in about fifteen minutes.  Sorry about the delay.  Hopefully I'll get caught up this coming week.

Lys, those are wonderful!

Thanks, Tink!  I'm relatively new on the "stalker scene", but I try! :)
