It went from six months to a year....to one to two months....and now it's a matter of days......

Everytime he sees the Dr they cut his time.....and I am so selfish that I want him to hang out...I want him to fight...I want him to stay here....but he hurts so much and there isn't any point....I have to let him go...and I thought I had more time...to get use to the idea....but I guess we never get used to the idea...no matter what.....

I am glad you have been able to spend time with him. It is very comforting to him and to you. Share these moments with strong faith and a smile. It is not an easy thing to say 'goodbye', but you know he will always be with you, in your heart and memories.

Drac I am so very sorry that you are having to go through this right now. As someone who has lost both of my grandparents (both on my moms side of the family) I do know how hard it is to say goodbye and let go but always know that your grandfather will be with you in heart and in spirit always. Please know that if you ever need anyone to talk to about anything that I am here for you any time you need me.

Thank you all for the love and support. My grandfather passed this morning. The viewing and funeral are this weekend. I can't express my gratitude for the support these last few weeks.
