Cats can be amazing disappearing creatures when needed. A trip to the vet is* Poof* time!
I used to have a vet who came HERE! That was nice! the cats still hid unless I shut them in the bathroom.
I also like how the cat antigrav units kick in when they fall in a full bathtub! They hardly get wet!
Of course cats are very magical.
Giving Tachi, my overly familiar, lots of love and food and hugs so he will pull through.
Off to the Farmer's market to get whet does not grow in my garden. Last week I got corn and plums!
looking forward to the Sherwood gathering this Sat. Wondering which cool garb to wear? Everything is TOO HOT! Digging out my Renaissance bikini- or I guess it is more Roman?! LOL

I was reading your passage to the two of them, they are both here NOW but in 75 minutes, will they be? I don't want to lock them up too far ahead of time and even that is a while before leaving.

Anyhow, was reading the passage to them when Osiris reaches over to the desk to pull a pen on the floor "Please, don't do that.".

Cats are MAGICAT.........but then again, it's like a section from one of my winged unicorn passages, where the one in question is a winged unicorn in human form (my pegarons are shape shifters as well). She is conversing with a magical immortal turned human again, where he is talking about going thru life anew, without magic, and she just sort of nods and such.

"Well, wouldn't you see your life differentally if you didn't have your powers, if you were like other animals, not magical?"---he says
And she stares at him curiously for several seconds before replying,

"What possibly makes you think that animals are not magical?"

Btw....Isis did it again....she ran across the keyboard and reset the browser to full screen. She does things like that.

Queen Bonnie

Cats are indeed from the magical realm! I guess that is why I love them so much!
Rain here today. My garden is loving it- but I am sick of soggy muggy weather. I guess there is more to come.
I hope to do sewing projects today. In my dining room with the doors closed- so I don't get feline "Help!"
Neri already stole my thread.
Looking forward to garbing up for the Sherwood gathering saturday. I hope it dries up!

Hot and humid here. Off to Sherwood in a bit. It is 90 and feels like a steam bath out doors- but garb I must!
Say a few prayers for my overly familiar, tachi. He is seeming to lose ground. Losing weight and a bit listless. I guess we will get his insulin dosage straightened out soon. I hope!
He is my love!

My Queen,

Our best wishes for Tachi. We are so attached to feline friends that even when things go crashing because of them, we forgive and love them..........or when they put a claw into our little toe as it hangs off the bed.

Osiris, the toe clawer, gave me a decent run of the heart on Thursday. I did manage to get the two of them to the Vet in the afternoon on Tuesday, so Thursday, I am giving Osiris the flea medicine they gave me. He goes to sleep with me for a nap in the morning, but about 9 PM, it has been several hours since I've seen him. I call for him, "ring" his favorite toy, even try to bribe him out of hiding with cat food in cans. Nothing.

Unreasonable panic creeps into the mind. I get out the flashlight, start shining it into spaces, start clearing the pathways previously blocked by my stuff that he might use to get to a hiding space, talk to Isis "Where's your brother?". Nothing.

I eventually hear noises that I can separate from my neighbors upstairs, from Isis. He's found a new corner, looks up at me with his innocent boy eyes of "Can't I have some time alone?"...........

.........Isis didn't get her treatment till Friday. She took it much better.

Queen Bonnie

I know all too well the feeling of panic when a kitty can't be found. They do seem to disappear at the most inopportune  times! POOF! They are no where to be found! When you do find the new sleeping spot-
  They act all innocent!
Glad you got the flea meds and found Osiris!
Tachi is not doing as well. His coat is not as healthy or glossy- but I hope it is only getting him back on the right insulin dosage. He is out on the upstairs porch sleeping in the sun. Siamese hate A/C. They love it HOT.
I had fun at the Sherwood gathering last PM. Fun to see so many friends. It was hot- but a nice party. Not many wore garb- but I did and was happy. Any excuse for GARB!!
The pot luck was great as was the entertainment and mead! yummy! I am not a party late person so got home around 10. The drumming and fire spinning started after dark.  I stayed a bit and watched- but left for home and A/C and my comfy bed with kitties! Camping out is not my thing.

Do you mean something like this?  :D

These were in a vendor's booth at the Wild West Show - A Texas Gathering at the Butler Longhorn Museum in League City, TX on 22-May-10.  I never did see them actually get airborne.   ;)

Sir Martin

Those are the most vivid pigs I've ever seen, David.   :)

Queen Bonnie - I'm glad you enjoyed the Sherwood gathering ... wish I could have attended.  It's nice to have a faire fix.   ;)

Tink

those piggies are so cute!

Oh MY! Flying piggies! Those are cute!
Perhaps they have scared my Nargles away! This month is better- so far.

HUZZAH for the cleanout!

Queen Bonnie

Well it is in- the cleanout. BUT my pipes are clay and there are huge crepe myrtle trees planted over the main line. The plumbers rooted the line- but the roots can grow back.
Charlie the LCRA plumber recommended I not put the toilet back in the garage- in case of more trouble later on. Sigh.
Oh well.
All else is going OK.
Busy working on a fab costume for TRF. Fun getting stuff together.
Tachi is still doing OK.
