Well I have decided on a covering for the wings...planning to use Litespan... I have a large piece left from making miniature balsa (6" wingspan guys) planes and it is light,tough and translucent but not clear.  So now that I have settled on that... we are off to the hobby stores looking for control cables and all sorts of odd stuff today when Mike gets off work! Should be both fun and productive! HEHE! Love real Hobby stores.... makes me want to work on my 64th(or smaller) scale B-52 flying model. I have the plans and would like to build but even small we are talking a wingspan of over 6 feet! and all the motors have to sinked up!

Great project.
I am wanting to go to the 2 costume shops in Austin - just to see what they have for my costume. Var is getting great things.
I am all ready for the Sherwood COOL OFF gathering here after the parade tomorrow.
Then I can get back to my projects.
I got my pool all clean and vacuumed myself!  More fun than vacuuming the house. LOL.
It will be a job to get the Royal Felines herded into the bedroom and secured so they don't escape during the party. Neri is very fast- and very sneaky.

Sounds like WAY WAY too much fun! Yeah these wings are morphing into much fancier than I expected..we got all sorts of fun stuff to use to make this do all the things Mike is thinking of doing... We will be checking into patents on the design of the working parts! Seems the smart thing to do! With all the stuff he wants this to be able to do... we shall see! Have fun on the morrow!

I'll bet the Queen of Everything is at least twice as sneaky as a kitten!

She should be she has WAY WAY more practice at herding cats than the kitten has at being herded!

 I did manage to out smart the Royal Felines and get them all herded to safety before the paraders arrived. I guess I can be sneaky when I need to! LOL!
It was fun!
We were in the front of the parade-#8! We took 2nd prize! Huzzah Sherwood!
The cool down party here was fun. Wonder why I am tired today? LOL

 Busy working on wizard staffs today.
I am at the very messy sanding phase. I work outside before it gets too hot.3 staffs in the works!
Happy day also! The vet called and someone donated diabetic cat food and insulin. The Vets thought Tachi could use it. Yayyy! It is very expensive to have a diabetic cat- overly familiar!
A Betty Boop watch I have had since 1995 went for a swim accidentally- OOPS!- but today I got it back all fixed! Very reasonable too. The watch is large and I can see it. Happy I did not ruin it! I had no idea wet watches could be fixed. Now I know!

Huzzah for Betty!!!  And also for people who donate things for sweet kitties!!!    Glad you're getting to work on your staffs after having to wait so long for cooperative weather, as well!  I am hoping to create some sort of order in our new place soon, but dealing with water pouring in under the patio door first is making unpacking very difficult, so any crafting has been put off indefinitely until I can fix the major issues first.  Hoping I can at least get a few favors done before TRF this season...

Today I noticed Tachi was listless and not eating much. Off to the vet before the long holiday weekend. She ran tests. His kidneys are fine and so are his glucose levels. Whew!  He has another sinus infection - so back on antibiotics. I hope I can get him to eat a bit better. poor kitty.
We got 20 minutes of rain here!
  Not enough- but better than nothing.
No working on staffs today. I'll get back to it when the weather cooperates. Lots more sanding to do.

 Tachi had another diabetic seizure this AM. Back to the Vet. He is not responding very well this time - so they are keeping him overnight. I am very worried. Keep him in your prayers. He is very special to me.

OH That is sad news... Sometimes it is just time to let go though! If it is his time remember how much you love him and he loves you! This is the part I always hate!!!! Hugs... Hopefully in the morning he will be doing better!

I will be keeping Tachi in my thoughts and prayers, as well as you, my dear Lady Queen.  I hope he is very much improved when next you stroke his fur.
