I suspected they would do this after the general public had a chance to buy tickets and all the sail-aways were sold out.

So they havent updated their website but I heard at Twig Mtg today that the event is goin to be awesome (can';t remmeber any details right now). But they are in great need of volunteers which app is on website.

Does anyone plan to attend this event or be interested in volunteering with me??

Got my boarding passes and sail-away tix in the mail a couple weeks ago.

Who else is going?

We were talking to someone about being merchants, but they turned out to be unconnected with the actual Tall Ships event and just someone setting something up a "Treasure Adventure" event to take advantage of the Tall Ships traffic and people were going to have to pay like $7.00 admission to get in after they had already paid for the Tall Ships.

Who is planning to post pictures of the event?   :D

Didn't get details, but my nephew's wife posted this on Facebook

Saw the tall ships through a fence and cement barricade for $40.00.

Did anyone get a photo of the escort boat that led them into the harbor? I found out last night that it was my cousin.

LadyFae

Jeff Foster is your cousin?

I've heard of "My Mother the Car", but not "My Cousin the Boat".   ;)   ;D

I thought I had explained this elsewhere but Treasure Adventure is to be an annual event in Duluth at the same location (with or without tall ships visiting ). They are a group of treasure hunters that go around teaching. They did a 3 wk event this yr in Duluth along with an area of Olde World Ren Faire. I did not attend but was asked to relay info from Olde World. Please see internationalexplorations.com to understand what it is they do. PS Treasure Adventure is mentioned throughout this thread as well.
