Site report (sorta)- Went out to check on the forge yesterday, and also took a quick run around the faire site to see what else is changed. Some booths got spruced up a bit, and on the back wall near the falconer's stage a new food booth and beer garden are being built. Other'n that, not sure what all changes will be seen this year. I have to head back out next week to fight the good fight against the hordes of poison ivy, and start clean-up and prep for this season. If anyone has booths out there they want me to check on (Holly, your's looked like it was in good shape), lemme know

Did you get a chance to look back in the German section? It's been over a year that TRF was featured on a promotional program and Jeff Baldwin mentioned that they were going to build a 65 foot tower in the German section.  It sounded like a grand idea.  Was that plan scrubbed because George Coulam was planning on selling and decided not to make any more capital improvements?  I saw the article where he was trying to sell TRF earlier this year and the deal fell through.

Update: seems I won't be working faire this year. I just found out, on very short notice I might add, that the forge has been handed over to someone else who will be bringing in his own crew. Considering the cost of tickets, unless someone else has need of a smith or a barbarian character, we're out for this year. To say I am heartsick and wounded is an understatement, especially considering the circumstances.
