It seems as though we've landed in two different time periods!

Funny video, sent to me by a friend who does Civil War reenactments. Thought the Ren community might enjoy it too - the Ren part starts at about 3:30 but the rest of the video is pretty entertaining as well. :)

Masquerading as a normal person day after day is exhausting.

Ok, that was too funny. I don't think they could have squuezed in another renfaire/reenactor/low budget TV stereotype.

I gotta know.  Who was the dude with the huge eyebrows trying to be? He was one of the space types talking to the king.  Man, my Scotty dog has eyebrows like that.
  LMAO.

Funny. :)

Be sure to read the comments beneath the video.  :D

Nighthawk

Having grown up with a Civil War reenactor, being an old Sci Fi geek who still regularly attends cons, and being a Renaissance period reenactor, all I say is... HEY!! I resemble... er... resent that!

The guys getting angry over the nut job comments are just too sensitive... Yes, I know I'm a nut job- I spent $700 on a box pleated kilt just because it's accurate to 1690! I sword fight some of the best martial artists in the midwest region, often receiving injury, to teach the realities of sword combat and undo some of the misconceptions of Hollywood. I, good lords and ladies, am a nut job!

*Anna raises her glass to nut jobs everywhere.*  :)

Here here! Huzzah!!
I'll toast to that! Cheers! :) Nut job and proud!

Glad you guys found it funny. I was totally doing the office snort watching it in my cubicle. :) My favorite line was:
Star Trek (I think?) dude: Set your phaser on stun, commander!
Renaissance King with really awful garb: Why don't you set your phaser on shut up!

Win.  8)

I watched it without sound  :'(  when I get home I'll look at it again.
Just can't get past those eyebrows. They looked like huge woolly caterpillars.
We are all nut jobs, Nighthawk.
Very happy, certifiable Nut jobs.  It's how we roll.  ;D
