Knights of Iron maybe? I'm pretty sure they've been here the past few years.

I thought the Knights of Iron were  regular performers and not jousters.

This could be true.

Knights of Mayhem did Silverleaf.  Knights of Iron are a performance troupe that is going into jousting.  Noble Cause is Bryan Beards group.  He's at Penn Ren right now.  Not sure who is doing Michigan.

Lord Clisto of York

Yes, i was wrong with the Noble Cause mention. We had them in Door County as well. I saw their schedule and talked to them. Just wish they would mention it on their website for Mich faire. I knew Knights of mayhem did Silverleaf.  Thanks for the info. I did write the entertainment people, maria and Brian and am waiting for a message back.

Thanks again

The last couple of years they had "Joust Evolution" I think, doing their show.  I am not sure who is doing it ths year.

At MiRF The Knights of Iron did The Adventures of Robin Hood last year, The Three Musketeers -vs- The Pirate King 2002-2003, and Legends Never Die (another Musketeer/Pirate show) 2004-2005, as well as a slightly different Robin Hood show in 2001.  We also had The Legend of King Arthur at Silver Leaf 2005-2007, and The Adventures of Robin Hood there in 2008.

We are taking this year off performing to work on our new project, which is indeed a joust team.  I started in jousting back in 1984-87 at MiRF, and am returning to it, developing a killer show in the style of our Knights of Iron shows.  Great characters, great costuming, and action that is unsurpassed.  The purchase and training of horses has been going on quietly since 2008.  In March of this year we purchased a 16.3 acre horse farm in Howell as a training facility.  We have started working with our horses and Knights, and are planning on pulling the best show aspects from everything that is currently out there to create a show that is a real crowd pleaser!

Perhaps the most exciting news is that Andre Renier, with whom I jousted back in the 80's, is also involved in the project!  Andre brings a lifetime of horsemanship, and an extensive performance background to the new show.

Watch for it in 2011

Joust Evolution is new. They started in Iowa a few years ago. I found out from the entertainment person Maria that it is a troupe the last three years called " "Emomojo Joust Company". I never heard of them but they are online in a small form. But, I don't see a big website. I know it used to be someone else before that.

Thanks for the info Dale. Glad you are enjoying Knights of Iron

thanks for the info Lord Clisto.  That's one I've never heard of and I try to stay on top of things in regards to knowing what troupes are out there.  Of course there are some groups that come and go pretty quick and some that have staying power.  I'd mentioned in another thread maybe we need a listing of the joust troupes out there.  Might be a good resource for those interested in jousting or looking for companies to apply with or just for those people wanting to know what teams are jousting at what faires.

As stated, the joust company is Emomojo Productions in conjunction with Round Table Productions.

I will have to take them in when I come to visit MIRF on the 26th. I also hope to once again join your Majesty for tea, if you wish it.
