just an observation- anyone else think it's bizzare that Opening is Oktoberfest when 1) Oktoberfest in Germany is in SEPTEMBER, and 2) Opening is the HOTTEST, least Germany-esque weather to be had?

they oughta switch Opening and 1001 dreams... then all of we half naked people wilting in the heat would make SENSE!

Yes, I'm actually up that early... my boots have hit the ground, before 5am, since i was in the Army.

Blue, if you check craigslist and freecycle regularly you can probably find them for free/really cheap.  I see them all the time up here.  The plywood will most likely be the biggest expense, but you might even be able to get a couple of big pieces of that from either craigslist or freecycle, as well.  Check the Materials section of craigslist and see if anyone has leftovers they want to sell cheap, or the Free section.
