I bet the  high mold count is not helping either! Sending you a coughing- be- gone- spell Cat! POOF!!!

Got up to a horse running around the place...darned broodmare! Got her put up. Need to find her a new home. Getting out of Racing means fewer and fewer horses here!  She is a HUGE girl and just kinda steps out of things!  Well I am tired but I think I am getting better... feeling better so hopefully I will be 100% on opening weekend!  I hope you are too...so much fun to be had!

Queen Bonnie

I did not know you were getting out of racing, cat! You can just enjoy your horses more that way!
Glad you are getting better!
I still have back pain- but can walk OK. I hope it goes away soon!
I want to feel great for TRF!

Does your back pain go away when you're in costume, wearing a bodice or corset?   ;)  :D

Queen Bonnie

I am only in costume around here - disguised as a Muggle. When I don my garb- I hope the pain goes away! The bodice should help!

If you have a chance make a hot bath with Epsom salts and SOAK!  It helps with the soreness and add good smells to help your mood!

Queen Bonnie

I do that all the time. I have a big old claw foot tub for soaking.I love the lavender epsom salts!  I add oatmeal bath too.

Bonnie, passing along what I've learned. I don't know if your backpain stems from the same problem as mine, but I've been extra mindful of my posture, both standing and sitting. No slumping into a soft sofa or sitting up in bed without a good support beneath my back. Soft is okay so long as your back is well supported. If there's immflamation, ice the sore spots after your hot bath. Side note here, you are so LUCKY to have a clawfoot tub! Love those. For those long drives to TRF bring along a pillow to support your lower back and ask for a hand when getting out of the car. When my back was really hurting that was hard for me.  A Lady should always be helped from her chariot anyway. :)

When's faire for you? Ours should be starting up here soon. The smaller ones anyway. I can't wait for the sights and sounds and smells of faire. I miss it.

Queen Bonnie

I still have no idea what causes my pain. The food poisoning at Scarby did something to my immune system.I have had problems since then. Better- but not gone.
I am a dancer. My posture is great. I have a sleep number bed- so can make it hard or soft.I use a lot of pillows for suppost. The Tens unit helps too!
I go to faire with Cat. She drives- but I drive to her home from here.I have a rolled up towel like a donut on my car seat. I always appreciate help from a gentleman!
TRF starts Oct 9th!
Can you make it to TRF Anna?
I remember the fun we all had when you came for Renndevous.

Did your dr have any idea why your immune system is not working right??? Try the probiotic pills.... they seemed to help after I get Food Posioning and was so sick...took a bottle of those till gone and ate Greek yogurt and it seemed to fix it...

At the risk of playing ren Doctor, that sounds like a good direction to head toward. If your immune system is off there could be increased inflammation. As we get older our inflammation response can get out of whack and not know when to turn off. Maybe add a green supplement to your diet along with the pro biotics to give it an extra boost. I drink wheatgrass. If you like the taste of that and there's a juice bar nearby try that.

Something like this, maybe. Your local health foods shop should have plenty to chose from.

I'd love to come out for TRF. Very fond memories of that weekend and our first Rendezvous. :) Doubtful, though. It takes alot of money for me to travel to faire and missing work as well makes it very hard.

Bonnie. I knew you loved to dance but I did'nt know you were a dancer. Do tell!

I got Phyllo dough today!!! And spinach(froz) so spinach pie is a GOOOOOOO! I am going to talk to the dairy down the way and try to buy whole milk to make fresh yogurt...safer than dealing with psycocow! If I can make a load of good yogurt them we can eat that for brekky!!!! YUM YUM!  I hope to have a dairy sheep sometime soon...still hunting!!!

Queen Bonnie

I eat Greek yogurt every day. No idea what is really wrong. I am better- just not going really fast enough and I have been very healthy all my life. Not loving that. Juice bars- in Elgin TX??? LOL
Yum to Spinach pie!
Can't wait.
Sold Bob's boots and mocs to friends today! Huzzah. He would be happy.
$$ comes in handy right now. Hard to part with garb he loved so much- but less hard when it goes to a friend who knew and loved him- and will wear it to faire.

Haapy fall solstice! It doesn't feel very cool yet here, but there is a breeze and a certain something in the air. Love this time of year! Soon there will be pumpkin festivals with corn mazes toget lost in. Cider and roast ears of corn and Hallloween!
