EMMM PAAA NAAAA DAAAAS

Just bought our tickets - $200 poorer but for some reason - a little bit happier (o:
I am so ready for opening weekend - to forget about the real world and sucky co-workers for just a few short days (only one sucky co-worker to be exact).
Ready to bond with my crew over some awesome adult beverages and awesome music.
Yes Sir - Yes Ma'am - these next 14 days won't pass fast enough.

Although - Still got some poly coating and cannon building to do - Damn, gotta get off my weed puller and get to work.

Oh, hell... I don't even care if I have to eat PB&J all weekend just so I can afford to be there... I just need some FAIRE!!!  I'm getting just a bit greenish with RENvy right now, though, because so many of you get to be there for opening... and a lucky few of you get to be there EVERY weekend!!!

It would be a great deal easier if we didn't live 400 miles away... but I couldn't deal with the weather down there, and I'd just melt the very first summer, so I guess moving isn't really a viable option.  :(

melt?  Aren't you in Oklahoma - where the summers are dry, dusty and in the nineties?  Other than our higher humidity, I wouldn't think our weather too much different.  Now if you were from the central coast of california, I'd say you had a point.

DRY?!?  I guess if you feel that 60-85% humidity on average is dry, then I really couldn't stand it down there!!!  And the summers days up here average about 100 degrees, with the nicer ones (few and far apart) being about 95.  But more humidity than that I just couldn't tolerate. I spend most of the summer indoors if possible, and it's because I get physically ill at those high temperatures and humidity levels, and break out in hives after just a few minutes.  HIGH and dry is perfect for me, though, and the mountains of Colorado were the perfect climate for me in the 9 years I lived there.  Circumstances led me back here 9 years ago, though, and family keeps me here, for a while longer, anyway.

But yeah... I don't live here by choice, and I'd be a virtual shut-in for half of the year down there, so I'll have to settle for the occasional quick visit...  :-\

My mother is not very keen on the weather here in Texas either.  She lives in North East Texas and has been talking of moving to Colorado for some time now.

The weather there is pretty much perfect for me.  The summers can get into the 90's in places, but the humidity is always low, and the mountains are right there for a quick get-away, so it never really feels all that hot.  Also, if you're in the Boulder Valley area of the Front Range (Denver metro and the 50 mile radius around it, roughly) the winters are quite mild compared to some other parts of the state, with roughly 300 days of at least partial sunshine a year. Well, except for the Denver pollution, of course, but no one HAS to move to Denver, right?   It's really a lovely area, although it's gotten very expensive in the last 20 years or so.  I've been thinking about Crestone for a while, myself...

Crestone area is pretty. My wife has kin over toward Gunnison, also pretty.
