Ahhh...  I understand that!  I think if I lived closer I could be content with tailgating in the parking lot for food (PB&J is very filling... ) and the occasional cider... and there is always a bit of Loki to sample here and there.  That really only leaves the price of tickets and gas.  Unless, of course, you're one of those big spenders...   

Since I have a young renlet, I try to look for things to do at Faire that cost little or nothing, and we try to make it to the shows that she will enjoy, and the Joust, the Fairy court and any demonstrations that she might be able to take part in without cost (this year it's all about the pirates... ), so I guess I'm just used to doing Faire on a really tight budget, but I do know lots of people spend hundreds of dollars every time they go.  I do try to put aside a bit for something special for her, though... like the archery booth this year, if I can manage it.  She wants one of the bows they have there in the worst way, and I'm hoping I can make enough from these pouches I'm making to buy her one.  She'd also love to have a set of the Crystal Stix (juggling sticks), as well, but I doubt we'll be able to stretch the budget that far this year.  Who knows, though... maybe the pouches will be a big hit and we'll have a bit more money to play with. 

I hope you can make it out again soon, though!

I won't be getting there until 3:45-4:00 ... I tried to push the guy I gives rides down to faire off on other people... no one took him so I am obligated to get him down to faire. All is good though that is only 6 hours from now 6 hours I prolly actually need to get stuff done!

OMG!!! I just got the results of my latest A1C test done (3 month blood glucose average), and just as I have suspected for the last year... I am no longer Diabetic!!! My doctor is surprised, but the test doesn't lie, and the Diabetes has reversed itself since the liver disease was treated and defeated!!! All tests in the last year in the normal range, with no spikes at all... without taking any meds.

Not going to be binge drinking to celebrate, or anything... but it does mean that a little Loki isn't going to make me feel like taking a 4 hour nap...
