Glad everyone had a good time, and thanks for looking after Tiff and the wee one while they were out there. Wish I coulda been there, but... meh. On a side-note, I claimed my billet in the name of Éireann!

Its odd, but our accommodations here are very much like faire- port-a-johns, 2-3 mile hikes to get anywhere, including to food, and loud noise at night Doing good, and have already been scouted for another job as a medic making damn near twice what I am now. Both contracts are up in 3-4 months, so I should be back in time for Sherwood

There's a story to this one- I was walking back from the PX to the MWR to hop on the 'net and talk to Tiff, and had just walked by the Phalanx when the bloody thing went off, and the incoming alert sounded. Now, this is a regular occurrence here, so in and of itself that's not so strange, but I was maybe 50 meters from a freakin' 30mm Vulcan cannon going off, and downrange of the barrels. My teeth are STILL chattering. I have a love-hate relationship with those things now...

I didn't realize that inviting people to watch me chainmail would case the entire Meet n' Greet to move over there. I love you all for cheering me on and making it so memorable.

I'd like to do all of this weekend over...exactly the way it went.

I was happy to see my faire brother and two sisters do the show... THAT was beyond AWESOME.

Some of the guys still try and fish there- they sell fishing poles at the Bazaar- but since both palaces and most of the lakeside buildings were taken over by the Secret Squirrel club, they're cranky about folks being too close. Still, heard some big fish are still in there... along with big turtles that have an affinity for toes and fingers
