A little late, but my own PSA for the 4th.

Be nice to you dog. Give him/her someplace quite and safe to hide INSIDE. The 4th has the single highest incedence of missing dogs all year. We may like the noise, but it can be painful for them. Keep them safe, on the one day they're not prepared to return the favor.
