The PP and I are debating if we want to get a FOF pass or just get the regular gate passes.  With me being sick all weekend he is concerned that we won't get to go as much if I'm ill, and tired.  I know we will be there opening weekend at least. And then memorial day weekend.
It is kind of strange watching your personal history become costume.

Lady Kett

If you go more than 4 days each...FOF is cheaper than full gate price. So if you add one more weekend, you've at least made a good financial decision. Plus free water and gatorade (if you like it) and closer parking. If I recall properly all those years ago, not having to walk as far and lots of water are bonus points during pregnancy. Of course mine is 21 now and wants me to fill her flask, not make sure she has water! :)

Either way - FOF or not - can't wait to see you again and give you a Congrats in person! :)

I'll promise you that Nim and I would NOT have survived Memorial Day Weekend if it hadn't been for the FoF pavilions, and neither of us was pregnant.  I'm with Lady Kett on this.

We were looking at minimum of 4 days at least, and with the parking and the fluids.  We are leaning more towards it.

I can say that if the little one is very far along... the water and close parking will be close to a necessity.

Fighting the urge to go on down to the gate and get in line!! We are nearing that "only 60 days mark" rather rapidly. We did get or FOF passes, mainly because we will go down for at least 6 weekends. Also, it is great to have the free passes. Last year we took our kids and the grandkids got in free on opening weekend. Get's alot of folks in for little money. The FOF is worth it for us, although we did used to (up until 3 years ago) get just one plus one season pass (which must be absolutely the reason the s/pass was eliminated). Now we get the FOF and really try to take advantage of the benefits. I hope that things are just as wonderful at Faire this 2011 season. I know the economy is a killer, but here's to things getting better! *Perhaps tonight our President, in his State of the Union address, will announce a tax break for Ren Fest attendees* - one can always dream!

I wouldn't head down there just quite yet, Ryk, but it is tempting.

I thought that I was excited last year about faire. I think I'm going off the deep end... This year, besides Scarby, we're also doing Sherwood, hopefully CoRF for RenDezvous, and maybe OkRF in Muskogee. The Son would like for us to do the NYRF, since that's up by him. We'll see what the future will bring. Nim and I have even discussed buying a new vehicle to travel to faire in...is that screwed up or what?
