Queen Bonnie

It was 21 degrees in Elgin this AM. I hate cold weather. Chances of snow later this week.  Meow Manor is cold but I am OK.

Merlin, maybe you and Nim need to move up to the mountains with Scally and me, when we go!

You don't know how tempting that is.

Got it bad here in Ardmore, about 1/2 inch ice, then 3 inches sleet then 4 inches snow and so cold I saw two jackrabbits trying to jump-start a squirrel! Relieved that UNT is closed as I have to drive down twice per week for classes, never would' ve made it. Bring on spring, bring one Faire season!

You folks down south got it worse than we did in upstate NY.

The news scared all the schools into closing and we only got 3"

My sweet, loving little (brat!) baby PELTED me with chunks of snow!  Not cute little kid snowballs, because the snow is too powdery for that... noooo, these were the large crusty things that break off the tops of the drifts, and HURT!!!

So I, being the kind, understanding, self-controlled grown-up that I am... pushed her down in the stuff and rolled her in it until she looked like a powdered sugar doughnut!!!  :D  I TOLD her to tuck her shirt into her pants... and her pants into her socks!  It's not MY fault she doesn't listen...  LOLOL

Goodness gracious, Ryk! You commute from Ardmore for class? WOW!

Caught word early today that UNT is closed for Day #3.

I'm actually kind of ready for classes to start back up. This missing a lot of classes is gonna make everything wonky!
Still Meggers, just a little more grown up now. :)

We're on Snow Day #3 of no school.  While I'm enjoying the time to get stuff done around the house (I've never been this caught up on laundry!) I'm dreading all the days we're going to have to make up.  Especially since its suppose to SNOW very early Friday AM which might mean 4 straight bad weather days.  I'm hoping we might get waivers so we don't have to make up these days.

The good thing is that we're fine, we're warm & we have food.  A bit low on milk but other than that we can last through Sunday or Monday no problem.

Being rigged to telecommute has its drawbacks...when everyone else is getting a snow day, I've got no excuse not to work. But I usually argue to recapture that free day elsewhere. Seems to me, it's only faire  ;)

Well we were iced in for two days but now are back online.  If we had known the streets were so bad we would have stayed home another day.  Granted we were getting alittle stir crazy.  And what was nice was we were running low on bread but yay we had a bread machine and all the fixing to make bread.  There was something nice about a pot roast cooking away in the crock pot, and fresh bread baking away to make a snow day just a little bit better.

I certainly hope that there's none of this nonsense going on in two weeks...

It would make for a very intresting opening to Sherwood to say the least.  And the camper would need to be right cozy.  It was bad enough at TRF this past fall when it was 33 degrees! Now it is getting down to 19 or less at night.
