And yeah, it's not looking too good for us being able to go to Sherwood..there's a lot going on/wrong right now so I don't know if it's in the cards. If I can't make it, I expect you all that can to have an uber awesome time and drink some RUM for me!

We used to think weekend trips were entirely too much bother. Then we encountered someone who gave us enlightenment - Enjoy what you can, when you can! Our weekend trips don't have to cover 4 days (fri to mon) - we can, if we need to, get up early saturday, and enjoy a full day of Faire. Spend the night at some random hotel, visit the Faire Sunday morning and leave after lunch. Yes it pains me to leave so early but any day - or partial day - at faire, beats the hell out of a non-faire weekend!

Of course we tend to leave Fri night and splurge on a Fri night random hotel stay, but it has improved our Faire disposition immensely!

C'mon and visit Scarby, Maeven! If TRF & Sherwood are in driving range, Scarby should be!

You guys are so sweet! I was actually at Scarby last year and had a blast! Unfortunately, I won't be able to make the drive up there because we are planning a trip during the summer and we gotta save up so you know how that is!
