Favourite Tailgate Beverage

I rarely drink in the mornings outside of faire either. There is just something about being there that just kicks my brain into "We are at faire, it's time for a drink!"

*And that drink is generally rum based as well.*

I seldom drink, period... but Faire is one of the few exceptions.  I don't drink much when I'm there, either, but it's fun to go in with a very mild little "glow" in the morning, as long as I have something hearty in my stomach to balance it.  It's not at ALL fun to feel queasy and lightheaded because I was too excited to eat first! 

I'll be doing mimosas this weekend at our Faire, and possibly belinis, as well.  I'll be taking some of the Lairds Fraser and Nasty Mac's peach/mango Loki in with me, also, as well as a drop or two of Pat McGroin's Belgian chocolate/blood orange from last season that I've had stashed away for just this occasion...

I must be a lush, because I frequently drink before 10am, at least on my days off.  A bit of Irish cream in the coffee or a mimosa is a lovely way to start the day.

I'm HERE, Rani! Got online to check on some stuff... The girls are all resting from the trip, despite the fact that I drove and they slept for the 5 hour trip.  Meh! Go figure!  But, I AM having a Jack & Coke

Well, at least you're relaxing, Merlin!  I just got back from paying all my bills, and now I'm pouting because I can't afford to finish filling the tank up so we can head that way...    I think I'd gladly eat ramen for the rest of the month if we could, though!    I know Scally would, because it's her favorite!

You STILL have some of that Peach Mango, Rani?  It surprised us that people were downing that faster than any of the others.  Wait till this year... Snickerdoodle, Banana Pudding, Death By Chocolate, Peppermint Patty and one yet to be named....

Well, I don't sit around drinking by myself much, and you DID give me a WHOLE BOTTLE!!!    I enjoy drinking a bit at Faire, and maybe every great once-in-a-while I'll have a cider here at home, but I don't go out to drink because they haven't made the bars here non-smoking yet...    

I'm sure I'd probably drink more if I had more rennies around, though!  


And what happened to the Almond Joy you're supposed to be making for me this year?!?  

Uhhh... Snickerdoodle?  Go ahead and reserve a bottle of that for me, please... and maybe the Death by Chocolate, as well.  (drool)  You would have to include Peppermint Patty... Scally's favorite candy is York, and once she hears the name of that one... she probably won't even care that it has booze in it!  LOL
