ROFL  I can totally see that!!!  Well, ok, maybe not the robes and funny hat, but the whole matchmaker thing...  ::)

And I'm sure Katy got a good laugh out of it!  ;)  :D

I think we're all getting pretty anxious for some Faire...  I wish there was a way for us all to get together and just go camp somewhere this summer.  Like, ohhhh... Colorado for RenDezvous... for a couple of weeks or so.  Or one of the lakes around Scarby... even for just a weekend.  (sigh)  I miss all of you soooo damn much!

Before you know it, we'll all be sucking down booze, singing bawdy tunes... (some of us slightly off tune) painting Mouse blue... roasting him over an open fire(pit)  :D

Wait... I thought it was Advent's turn to be painted blue this year!?!  Oh, well... I guess he'll be grateful for the company.  ::)  Poor Mouse's chestnuts, though... tsk, tsk.

I guess I need to brush up on my bawdy tune, uhhh... tuning (since I might be the one off key)!

Oh, yeah... and wasn't there something about a BET?!?  I'm thinkin' blue is gonna be the color to watch for this season!  :o  :P  heheh

Have ye had the chance to try Loki, lass?  The Nasty Fraser brand is about the best out there... if i say so myself. ;D

Most will try to kill you with too much Everclear but my brother & i have come up with the secret formula...  ;)

For all you honey fans out there...just returned from the staples (liquor) store with a small bottle of Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey. It's their new honey liqueur/Jack Daniels blend... Sweet, yet spicy, with a distinct cinnamon flavour, and no whiskey bite. As a card-carrying Tennessee Squire, it was my duty to report my findings. It's sweeter than I personally would want to drink on a regular basis, but definitely something good for sipping with special friends.

A nice review can be found here.

Well, you're probably in the right place, then... because there is plenty to be found at TRF.  Of course, it's always nice to bring some along with you to share, as well... since that makes it kinda neighborly.  ;)  Lots of people try to out-do each other with how much they bring (wouldn't know who any of THOSE people are, though, would we, {Fraser & Nasty}?), or the quality of
what they bring (also have several winners {literally} in that category), but as long as something is offered, it doesn't have to be the best, or the most to be welcomed into the general mix!  :D

And yes, Fraser and Nasty Mac's Loki is some of the best I've ever had!  In fact, I've even still got some from last year that I sip on occasion, when I'm needing a bit of Faire...

Can't wait for this year's flavors!!!

Alas, looks as if my next faire run won't be until TRF. Finances (schmucks I work for haven't paid me in two months, and yes, I am taking action on it), other commitments (Comicpalooza mainly), and possibly heading back to Iraq for a few months this summer (to quote Jayne Cobb: "The money was too good! I got stupid!") all conspire against me. Meh, TRF is still on the table because I have to finish my paramedic training in Fall semester :D

Oh, I hope ya'll get to come out!  I still haven't met your lovely lady... and Fionna sounds too cute to miss!  I'm assuming she'll be in garb this year, yes?  I need her colors so I can make her a wee little belt pouch!

And what are you THINKING?!?  Going back over there... and in the freakin' SUMMER, of all times?!?  I know money is tight, but still...  :-\

Hmmm... not really a Jack fan, but it sounds... interesting.  Sounds like it would make a pretty good bbq sauce, also.  ;)  :D

Loki? Nope can't say I have. You've got me curious now.

Imagine just about any flavor that you like; typical loki flavors are single flavor, ie cherry, liquorice, etc. There are some others that are made by the more advanced alcoholics amongst us (Fraser, Nasty, et al) that can even pull out a chocolate/ strawberry or a bannana nut bread. Now imagine having a swig of your favorite flavor and 10 minutes later the world becomg a fairly breeezy place and you having trouble remembering why you were trying to put your underwear on your head.

Wow that sounds amazing! I can't believe something like that has existed without my knowing it. Lol ill definitely need to try some of that soon although I can't imagine not liking it.

Loki is almost always very sweet... but some of it is either more or less so, depending on the maker.  It's made with Everclear, sugar water and various flavorings, and some are faaar better than others!  It's not necessarily all that strong after only a sip or two... but it's generally so smooth that you really don't notice that you've been passing the bottles around, tasting all the different flavors, for, ohhhhh... an hour or so... until you try to stand up!  Particularly if you've been on "parade" through the campground, tasting everyone's latest flavors!  :D  Of course, sometimes all those flavors are on parade, themselves, and all you have to do is find one of the many camps where they ALL make the rounds... and then you just hang out by the fire and wait for someone to say "here, try THIS!!!".  :D
