I always feel wierd about walking up to camps, since all the stories about "this one guy walked up to camp..." I may get over that real quick like if someone is cooking up banana nut bread booze, lol.

Ohai... yeah, I guess that would be tempting (specially the bennies)!  Well, as long as you're home by mid-October, anyway!  And you remember to keep your freakin' head down!!! 


Crash... most camps are pretty welcoming, particularly if you approach with a smile and a bottle of something to share!  Those that aren't into guests generally make it pretty plain by just being... not very talkative... and then you just move on, but I've never had anyone be actively rude, before.  If you offer someone a shot and they say no, then you can usually assume they're not into making new friends... unless of course, they offer you something even better, instead!    (there are some camps that are more... herbally motivated, also, but don't assume) 

Most people are there to have a good time, and to make new friends, though, and there are quite a few camps that welcome everyone, as long as they're respectful, reasonable, and cause no drama.  Particularly if they also show up with something to share...

Loki? Nope can't say I have. You've got me curious now.

Imagine just about any flavor that you like; typical loki flavors are single flavor, ie cherry, liquorice, etc. There are some others that are made by the more advanced alcoholics amongst us (Fraser, Nasty, et al) that can even pull out a chocolate/ strawberry or a bannana nut bread. Now imagine having a swig of your favorite flavor and 10 minutes later the world becomg a fairly breeezy place and you having trouble remembering why you were trying to put your underwear on your head.

My man Rapier made an off the wall request and TA DA, Banana Nut Bread loki was born!  This years flavors are going to be off the hook... Death By Chocolate, Snickerdoodle, Banana Pudding, Peppermint Patty, and possibly Apple Struddle... the last one is still up in the air.  We have been fermenting ideas ( ) since Closing day, last year.  This year my brother, Laird Nasty & I will prove ourselves loki gods.

We had a few hard core people thought they could stand toe to toe with our Banana Nut bread... our girl, Riot's man, Brett, had a run in with it Thursday night, and cursed us Friday morning.  Then there was the brewmaster the next camp over... he liked our Mounds Bar a bit too much and looked like Death warmed over Sunday morning.    Had his girl friend & her buddies walking around naked by the end of the night.

Merlin, he likes to drop by once in a while... but he never seems to stay long.  Elusive fellow.  Doesn't say much, but he coughs a lot, poor guy.   


Rapier, that must have been while you were playing guitar...  Oh, the sacrifices we make for our art, eh?    heheh


Fraser, I've heard rumors that there may be another Loki Challenge this year, but I'm not sure who might be hosting it.  I don't know if the Gnomes want to take it on again, without Papa there to organize it, so it might be picked up by another camp.  Can't say for sure, though, since it IS just a rumor... but, being the Loki Gods you undoubtedly ARE... I'm predicting another resounding WIN!!!
