this year's TRF is going to be very, very weird for me. This will be the first year I will be attending as a patron in 20 years, and I have no idea what we're going to do. We're definately making it out AHE, possibly opening and closing, not sure yet, but we've been staying inside the faire for so long I don't have a clue what its like to camp as a patron these days, nor any idea where we'll be camping if at all. Gah, feels like renewed faire virginity

Well, then you were very close to us at P.R., since we're at the corner of Row 0... but since you're never there when the I am... I may never get to see you being roasted over the fire!    

Nasty said that he was going to bring the video camera from his last porn film, so I wouldn't worry too much about missing the action. We'll send you the youtube link.

Uhhh... you are talking about the Mouse roasting action, right?  And not... whatever may still be on that particular camera's memory card?  Because I'm pretty sure youtube has rules about that...

Breandan, I think you and Tiffani might like it with us at PR, and I believe you might know several folks there already.  It's pretty quiet at night (the odd generator notwithstanding), we're right across the street from Fraser and Nasty, and I'm sure Rapier and his brood will be in one of the two camps, as well.  It really is all pretty PG, (at least on our side of the street, anyway... ), and we tend to keep the bigger idiots out of camp just because they never find us.  I'll have my daughter there, also, and she always feels perfectly at home any place in either camp, whether I'm beside her, or not.  

It can be pretty close quarters once everyone gets there, but everyone is pretty respectful of space and equipment, and there's a meal available Fri and Sat if you don't mind pitching a few ducats in Z donation jar.  I know Fraser and Nasty cook up something yummy both nights, as well, and so does McLot, if you're on walkabout at dinnertime.  Camping with Fionna for the first time will be interesting for you two, and it will be good to have fairly easy access to a way to warm up water for her, since she will spend most of the time getting filthy!

We "might" have a pretty large Viking style A-frame finished by then, so we will be even easier to spot. Ive been building the frame and one of my camp mates is sewing the canvas cover.

I've been reassured that should an old wizard wander through your camps, that you will treat the ancient mage with due respect, plying him with Loki and other delicacies.

Oh, I plan on making sure Merlin makes the rounds, never fear!  Poor man will be well and truly exhausted by the time I've walked him all over the campground! 

I might just have to drive them about in the chariot, instead, since they'll likely be parked in the patrons lot.  I certainly can't drag my friend and his Lady wife all over creation and then make them walk back to the big lot!!!

Crash, I wish you'd start working on talking your wife into spending your anniversary out at Faire this year for AHE, because I'd really like to meet you both!  I'd also love to get a look at that A-frame, as well...

Ha, you bet Rani...you know how the McLot camp is, you've been there enough times...I like to call it the Mechanized division with our travel trailers and generators...just a constant hum...

It's occurred to me I have never visited any other camp other than McLotofus...I should rectify this.

Except that camp on Row 0 or so where the guy offered me EverCrown and Coke.....

That's because you never make it out AHE...

My best friend usually throws a Samhain party every year on that weekend...on year I will skip his and make AHE.....oh yeah

Well, just talk him into throwing it out at the biggest costume party in the whole freakin' STATE, that's all...

Mouse....McLot is the only camp you need to visit my friend, if you now what your doing     Well be even bigger this year! 


But it is not just all hollows, it is opening and closing as well

Maybe next year, we already paid for a trip to Vegas at the Cosmopolitan.

I know for a fact she wont camp, but I might be able to talk her into staying up the road in a hotel, so she can at least come hang out for a bit. She does want to go to trf, since she has never been.

Won't camp?!?  Is she a PRINCESS, or something?!?  But... but... does she not know how much FUN it is out there?!?  Seriously... 

I know... some people are just not into it... but not even with a Viking A-frame to stay in?  I mean, she could have a freakin queen size bed in that!!!  Hell, I have a queen size bed in my tent, and it's a dome...

We live 10 minutes from the camp grounds...so it has never really been an issue for us because back in the day when we tented it...we would just drive to the house and be back before the meet-n-greet at the POW.  But that interupted the "TRF camp experience" and the wife wasn't sure about doing it anymore...so now we have a 34' house on wheels. I "redefined" what camping is for her
