This random left-field moment brought to you by Mr. Tramadol and Mr. Skelaxin

Uhhh... you were dancing... and you hurt yourself... there?!?  :o   Exactly what kind of "dancing" were you DOING?!?  ::)

Glad you're feeling no pain now, anyway...  :D

Little rusty, but someone might want to open the door because someones pants and rumpus is burning. Or they set their rumpus on fire while burning their pants..or something to do with pants and fire.

This would not be a good time to coinnigh i do bhríste é  or something like that.

Burning pain in the groin, I think... although I could certainly be wrong.

I just read it as I remember, so I am probably off.

Pretty damn sad I dont speak my own language very well. My Mum never thought it was to be an use to us over here and and rarely if ever spoke Irish.  I was 7 when we came over and although I went back to stay with my family every summer until I was 17, aside from my grandparents, they didnt use it much.  I used to try to get over every year, but it is getting more expensive now..

It's hard enough for me to understand some of them when the speak English  :D

Crash, even your cloudy memory has got to be better than anything google would tell me, although my google-fu is strong.  ;)  I had to break it into smaller pieces, but I'm pretty sure that groin, pain and burning were all in there, and something about River Dancing in that first part...  :o  :D

I'm a researcher by hobby (of all things), though, so just about anything I don't understand, or that even hints at mystery, is usually pretty intriguing to me... so I have to find out more.  ::)

And of course it was understandable, Mouse!  At least, after they were all finished clearing their throats!  :P

Crash was pretty dead-on :D

I know the feeling, though, Crash. I haven't had anyone to converse with as teanga dhúchais in nearly fifteen years. Hell, over twenty since my grandda' died. I have gotten so bloody rusty at it its not even funny. Trying to teach Tiff, but she has neither the ear nor tongue for languages. Fíonna seems to pick it up better though, but she's 13 months old :D Tired of every conversation in my own home being as Bearla, frustrating. So, the end result is a skewed accent, antiquated slang, dodgy spelling and grammar, and the literacy of a 4th grader ;D

'Splody head and heavy pants, eh?  Sounds like you might have some of what Breandan had/has, 'cept I'm still not sure what that was...  :o

Heavy panting, on the other hand... now that I might be a bit familiar with.  Well, occasionally, anyway...  ;)  :D

If I hear certain words or read some things and sit and process it for 30 minutes I *might* remember bits and parts  :D .  It is hard though, switching back and forth and if you arent using it daily, it fades. I have German friend who isnt even going to bother teaching his kids German for some of the same reasons.

I guess I should go buy the Rosetta Stone *Irish* version   :D
