Abney Park is FUN!!!  Love that crazy guitar, also!  Oh, and the girl on the silks is kinda sezzy, also...    They're a little electronic, but they put on one hell of a show, and their lyrics are Just. Too. COOL!!!

I'm still a curmudgeon and do not recognize "steam punk" as a seperate subculture or genre of music though, but that is just me.

I think it's likely a lot more to do with the lyrics than the musical or rhythmic style, anyway... for Steampunk, I mean.  I would probably group them in with eclectic, myself.

Ok... it's waaay too quiet in here today!  And exactly HOW did it get to be 1pm already?!?  I don't remember taking a nap, but suddenly there it is...  



Oh, wait... that's right... I was working.    Funny how that happens when I'm all hunched forward, staring intently at the computer screen, with whatever file I'm working on magnified like it's under a microscope, making tiny adjustments to arcs, curves and angles that only I can see, and only I (well, and any decent print professional, of course) would ever notice...

Now my eyes are blurry, and I NEED a nap!  Or some coffee...  Damn, I KNEW I forgot something today!

THATseems oh, so, long ago.  

Not quite 2 years, though...  and quite a memorable couple of years it's been!  Some wonderful memories... and some incredible times spent with friends and Fairemily, so I'd say it was time well spent.  



Well... seems my musical journey today has led me to some very interesting places...  This song can always make me... ache, way down in the Deep Purple places in my soul.

It's important to have plenty of positive memories to help mitigate the negative ones... and I'm awfully glad I've got all of you, Faire and this place to help me do that. 


In '08-'09 I was going through 6 months of chemo, losing my hair and trying as hard as I could not to die... and coming here everyday to keep myself sane, laughing and alive.  It seems to have... mostly... worked.
