Always subject to change because the Weather gods do what they want. BUT my sourses show 79 partly cloudy. I have seen it show scattered showers too.

So lets hope it not last year and hope more like 2 years ago or better.

What is the weather normally like during the run?  I will be there for the last Saturday of June (sooo excited!)

I was able to go to the CORF once two years ago.  We had a pleasant start, but then the heavens opened up and there was a great exodus to the cars as we were deluged with rain & pelted with hail.  The meteorological grand finale was a wispy cotton candy double funnel pulled down from the clouds.  We didn't stick around to see if it actually touched down. :o

My Lord of Bracknell has it exactly right, Tamtaro:  It's completely unpredictable.  Plan for temperatures anywhere from the 40's to the 90's.  The sky might be cloudless, or it may rain all day.  Snow is not entirely out of the question, although hail is more common.  We get at least one or two lightning strikes each season.  (Just ask the characters in the chain mail!)

Having said that, the Baroness and I are firmly of the belief that there is no bad Faire weather; only inappropriate garb.   :D
So come regardless of the weather, dress appropriately, and have a roaring good time.  (And be sure to seek out your fellow RF'rs.)

The typical weather forecast is that there is no typical weather forecast. Easy rule of thumb is to prepare for anything and everything. Haha!

Oh, and if you see lightning in the area...run as far away from my booth as you can. It's been hit more times than any other location on site. (They ought to take down that spire on top...)

Yes she is very shocking.

You know merlin i expect you to control the weather for the weekend you are at faire.

My powers are the strongest the closer I am to my own castle. So far, my coolest and most comfortable faire this year was OkRF/Castleston in Muskogee (the closest faire) in mid-May. We had one hot day, one cooler on a trip in mid-February to Sherwood Forest near Austin (the farthest...so far), so the evidence is pretty clear.

I will, however, endeavour to influence the weather to be outstanding for RenDezvous, and I'll toast a couple eyes of newt on your behalf for the rest of the season as well.

In Colorado if you do not like the weather... wait 5 minutes, it will change. This is actually true. But they are still saying high 70's low 80's opening day

I like to use New England Weather Forecasting when it comes to Colorado Weather.

"Ayah, we'll have some weathah"

We have had up to 60 degree temperature shifts between start and end of day (Generally in the fashion of warming through the day), and I think the only weather phenomenon we *haven't* had is a Hurricane.  But I'm trying to get one imported this year so we can honestly say we've had every form of weather at faire.

It use to be (oh, 10 years back or so) that I could guarantee rain every Saturday and Sunday between 3:30 and 5:30, even if only a brief shower.  Sadly. I've neglected my Romani Mojo, and can't offer this guarantee anymore.  But it is generally agreed that any extremes in weather (especially if it involves rain) is my fault.

Ah, Radu, goode friend.  We don't BLAME you; we merely hold you responsible for inclement weather.  What better use for the King of the Gypsies?

Thank you for all the input & silliness in-between!! You are all so clever & fun :D  I will try to be prepared for all weather possibilities (except hurricanes!)

It's just these adamantium claws I had installed a couple years ago. I can never get through security at the airport now....
