The miniseries was nominated for an Emmy and Peter Dinkelge got a nod for best supporting actor.  That's really impressive for a fantasy series which the Emmys usually ignore.

Got "Dances" and finally went to see the actress they picked for Brienne Of Tarth. I think she was a good choice.

I saw on one of the forums where they have cast some more people but havent gone to see just which actors/actresses. The recent casts (after Brienne and Margaery) and Davos, Stannis and Melissandre.

Another thing I have noticed is how differently the people I have watched even a couple episodes with react. During the weekend I watched the first and second episodes with my 14 year old niece and my dad (who insisted he wanted to see it). At the beginning I warned them both about nudity and violence. (My sister, nieces mother, said she was fine as long as there wasnt male frontal nudity and I knew there wasnt in the first couple at least.).
My NIECE loved the series and is now reading the first book.
My father cringed and commented and was extremely uncomfortable.
He left after the first episode,lol.
On another note, my mother, who we had told about it, would cover the side of her face every time she would come in the living room!!!

In related news regarding the casting for Season 2, Natalie Dormer is in Captain America.  Small part but she was stunning as a blonde.

But a question. Does anyone else think that the three pork pot pies that Wyman Manderly brought to Ramsay Boltons wedding are the three missing Freys?
