Whoa....That was a messy end to a career if I ever saw one.   Why do 'public' people do this  stuff?

We have some really good TV people here in central Arkansas, and we have some real gems. I guess all markets do. For whatever reason, it seems that the weather people are the ones who get caught up in the loonies.  One weatherman, years ago, was broadcasting during a major tornado outbreak. There were several tracks of tornadoes across the state, demolishing communities left and right WITH fatalities. He had the unmitigated nerve to say—on live TV!—"I've never gotten to see a tornado. I hope I get to see one this time!" At that point, I was hoping that a funnel would reach down and suck him right out of the studio and yank him apart. I couldn't believe my ears. I don't think he ever lived down that case of foot-in-mouth disease.
