What is it called when someone rolls a glass or metal ball(s) around their hands, etc.?  Thanks!

That is contact juggling. A random fact is that Bowie did not do that in the movie he had a guy behind him doing it and in the rear shots the guy wore the costume and the wig.

Yeah!!! That's it!  The reason I asked is because we would like for someone to walk around doing that at Pyrate Faire next year.  As a sneak preview it will be Sept. 29-30, 2012, 2 full days!

the vendor at TRF is Tryout Toys.  The owner is a great guy, they do faires and other things all over the country I believe.  check with them!

The tidbit about Bowie is true, but I also heard that he learned how to do it after that part of the movie was filmed, so that, yes, he had a stunt double, but eventually could have done it himself.  :)

Contact juggling, like pin juggling is one of those things I would love to learn how to do.  I wish I had the dedication to learn it.
