Our family has a long standing tradition of picking themes for Thanksgiving. This year was Baja Mexico and we had 5 kinds of fish.
And after the four day weekend, there were no leftovers.
So tonight I am having thick cut pork chops stuffed with tiny shrimp, almond meal and herbs de Provence.
For the side dish we will be having spiced dumpling squash.

Mairte.....There's nothing wrong with having leftovers as that's one of the best parts of Thanksgiving you know.  Hope you don't mind me saying that as it's just my two cents worth you know.

Ah finally something different. Lasagna! 

You just spoke my language as Lasagna is one of my all time favorites in the world Italian Food now. 

Lab potluck: Nigerian chicken, Thai chicken and rice, Korean dumplings and curry chicken, Mexican enchiladas, and my mom's Canadian pumpkin pie. Best Lunch EVER!

Canadian Pumpkin Pie.....Don't think I've ever heard of that one before. Is it the same as the orginial pumkin pie or is it totally different all together?

My mom's Canadian and it was a nifty 2 layer cream cheese/pumpkin pie she makes. The recipe itself isn't canadian per se, but I tagged it as such since we were doing a "bring your culture" kinda potluck

Sounds good Magpie.....I just might have to try that sometime as Pumpkin Pie is on my favorites actually.

Yeah,lol, leftovers isnt necessarily a BAD thing, just got tired of same/same.
Tonight? Probably a small ham. And red gold potatoes from the garden. (my daughter says the ones were grew taste so much better than store bought!  )

Hand breaded deep fried chicken, mashed potatoes and seasoned green beans.

Monterey chicken, with bbq sauce, bacon and Monterey jack cheese smothering a grilled chicken breast, then sprinkled with fresh diced tomatoes... skin on mashed potatoes and corn on the cob, and salad.
