Ok. Well I just purchased my FOF pass for this season. Yeah last minute I know. This will be my first time getting one. I've been a couple times in the past two seasons and always had fun. Plan to finally buy some garb this year.

The good thing about the frozen jugs is that the large ice will actually last considerably longer than the crushed ice you normally would think to put in your ice chest. I'll probably use a combination of the two, and I'll bet the crushed ice will last a heckuva lot longer.

I actually prefer to just use the large jugs for ice because then you don't end up with inches and inches of water in the bottom of the cooler, and you don't have to worry about things getting soaked.  Nothing worse than a sandwich that spent the afternoon floating in ice water. *LOL*

I am not an employee of Scarborough Faire and to not represent them in any way.

Excellent point, Lys. If we're carrying foods that can get waterlogged, we'll put them in a Tupperware-type container, then if the ice melts, it will float. Another benefit to frozen jugs is that when your vehicle is moving—and turning especially—there's less chance of the ice chest flipping over because the water is shifting.

I like having crushed ice for the drinks. being in constant contact, it keeps them colder.

Rennie Math Update!

Today doesn't count. It's the only day I have that I really get to do nothing, and nothing counts as 0!
Tomorrow doesn't count, it's the FOF picnic!
Monday thru Thursday don't count, I'm attending [another] conference out of town and get back Thursday afternoon. So that isn't real work. :)
Friday might count, but I'm not sure it does...it's a Holiday for my company and the day before Faire starts so I expect to be quite busy!

And then....[drum roll please] it's FAIRE!

NO DAYS! Mwahahaha.

Merlin the Elder

I love this new math... Enjoy the Preview, and we'll see you next week, 8:30 a.m., Row 12

Where are the fof areas located? I didn't see anything on the website about that.

Merlin

When you enter the gate...turn right...go across the bridge past the elephant ride you'll see a nice shady area inside a fence with tables and some of the best people in the faire ! That's us ! There's another located at the far other end past Cast in Bronze that is also a really nice shaded pavillion.

Come to Row 12 pre-canon and we'll familiarize you with everything ya need !

The southern FoF area is on the festival map, but is marked Friends of Faire Arena. The other one isn't marked on the map.

Merlin... did you see the new map? Wizards!! The fof areas are both called areas on the map in the program and the one that will be on site! You are always catching typos for me! Luckily I caught that one!!!

No...guess I haven't seen the new map.  The website is still serving up the old one, but if it's been recently changed, the old one may still be being cached by the server.  LOL! When I saw "arena," I thought to myself, "That seems like such a grandiose description of that little pavilion." I actually found it quite humourous!
