Am I the only one in the whole wide world who isn't quite so into Twig?
I personally think there's such a thing as overexposure. It's like the radio playing the same song every hour at the same time for days on end, which is the way it used to be in the mid-60s, I know.  Not having young children, and not having a faire that I'm at every weekend, I didn't get overly exposed to Twig, but there does seem to be an intense focus on her wherever she is. Her photo seems to be on everything...can't help but wonder how the other artists feel about all that.

I don't dislike Twig for any reason, and she's always been very sweet when I acknowledge her, as I try to do with any actor I pass.

Now, changes to the Royal Court at Scarborough would invoke a considerably different response from me, and I'm very fond of the rest of cast as well.

Last season, when I made my first trip ever to Scarbby, I tried for three days to get a photo of Twig and she either walked right by me or purposely got up and left.  As far as I'm concerned, I'm not going to miss seeing her, and she is not why I'm going to Faire.  I'm sorry if the children will miss her, but there are plenty of other actors trying to make the right impression and interact with everyone.

Sorry that's how it was for me.

Why do I feel like I've worn something like this before?

You said what I was thinking.  I have nothing against her, but I'm not into the hype.

As a vendor now I very rarely saw her after we unveiled our doggie shirt that said "I Sniff Fairy Tales"  ;D

I need a t-shirt for our Bully. 28" around, 17" collar to tail. She LOVES to wear t shirts so I need something ren appropriate.

I don't generally dress my Akita up, but she can wear my t-shirts. They're a little tight on her...

Lady Sybil only weighs 50 pounds, so I think I'm glad she can't wear my shirts.  ;)
What else besides "I sniff Fairy Tales" would be ren-related for dog wear?

Sorry been preparing for the show and haven't been on in a few days, however we make all of our outfits for any size dog, and have put a kilt on a Great Dane. We have Kilts, Belly Dancer Costumes, Three Muttketteer oufits complete with hat, nobility coats and Renaissance dresses. Please swing on by as we are to the right of the Crown Stage near Don Juan and Miguel and are in the shade, which is something I believe will be very useful this year. Make sure you mention this awesome site so I can give you the friends and family discount. :)

How about "Forget the doggie biscuits - where's the turkey leg?"  Or maybe, "Forget the doggie biscuits - where's the  Loki?"  Or something along those lines.

Or, depending on where you go, "hey, what's that guy in the kilt doing using my tree?"

Just put yourself in the dog's mind and lots of thoughts pop out.

You scare me, Polly!  :o

Heh, heh, heh, I just finished today packing my tent after spending 8 weekends at Sherwood so I'm in the mood for some frivolity, renfaire style.

At times there were some dogs in the campgrounds, and sometimes I did wonder how they actually viewed the carrying-ons that take place.  If it is within their conceptual capabilities, I have no doubt the canines all think we have all gone mad.

I can understand why you would feel that way but I would say not to take it personal. As an actor, she has people and children coming at her all day long for pictures, and she is constantly interacting with everyone. People in general, blend together eventually when you are performing in the lanes. She is only one fairy and can't be everywhere all the time. She does a great job, I'm sorry that she was flitting about, like a fairy does and passed by.
Still Meggers, just a little more grown up now. :)
