texas renaissance season is nearing its conclusion...and we at sherwood are ramping up.  trf has been nothing less than spellbinding in its glamour and attendance.  sherwood will bring you something different.  we are a rustic medieval faire which concentrates on authenticity, community, and openness.  we strive to be family friendly in a broad stroke of the paint brush (meaning we do not shy away from drinking and fun, but expect limitations and restraint.  sherwood dreams.  sherwood feels.  sherwood hopes.  sherwood is about an inclusive attitude that expects all to bring their best to the fire circle.

we so look forward to our next gathering december 8th and 9th...

and then again when we open our fourth season of sherwood on february 9th, 2013.  the new pub at the bottom...where the majestico stage once was will be a grand addition to the faire this year--that and the completion of brian and george's keep up on the hill.

spread the word, dear friends. your voice, your heart and soul, has made sherwood what it is.

Wizards seem to like opening day at Sherwood for some unknown reason.

Last three years there were several waiting at the gates.  At first I thought it was some magical convention.

Hummm, then again it might be the long flowing robes are just more comfortable that time of year.

It's simply that the magic of this particular place is attractive to us.

We're making plans to be at Sherwood's opening weekend-this is starting to become a tradition for us and this coming season, we will be able to have our little girl with us to take in all the sights, sounds and merriment that comes with Sherwood. We can't wait :)
