We had a smaller gathering than anticipated, but I always make a lot, because I love the leftovers!  I'm one of those boring people that can eat the same thing for several days, and think nothing of it.

Leftovers... but not turkey.  We didn't get any turkey leftovers this year... so I bought us a ham, instead.  Tomorrow is pot roast, but after that I'm putting the rest of this ham in a big pot of beans.

We Mexed it up last evening...return to leftovers today, at least for one meal.

POt roast... the LAST pot roast before my gastric band gets filled... so it was a sad farewell.

Tonight will be a Spanish / Asturian type stew with pork shoulder, deer sausage, carrots, mushrooms and calabaza squash.

Homemade chicken noodle soup....supposed to be good for colds. We will see!

There is a potluck tonight for my mom's retirement. I am bringing skirt steak marinated in olive oil, honey, rice vinegar, cumin, garlic and red pepper flakes with caramelized onions. It is fantastic and kid approved.
