It hasn't hit me quite yet due to the holidays, but after the new year it's gonna hit me like a ton of bricks... and I still have a viking dress to order! Yikes!

Oops, yesterday was a madhouse here with plumbing, construction, cooking for four men. 

So, now it's 47 days, 22 hours, and less than 1 minute to cannon at Sherwood.

Hurrah!!

Actually, Merlin, my son is quite a decent cook.

However, as holiday gift to me, yesterday they were busy building an 8x12', 30" high deck outside my back door to replace ricketedy steps that were quite dangerous.  Got the deck itself finished with siding.  Will be back later this week or next weekend to add the stair steps, railing, and a frame at about 8' above deck so I can add lattice at some later date.

Besides, it gave me an opportunity to cook a big meatloaf, not something I normally cook for myself.

Yeah, I know it's the same number of days as I put in yesterday, but that also had 22 hours and I'm posting much earlier, and, and, and

and, and, and I'm making Rice Krispie treats and then wrapping presents later.

Then I gotta pack the car and make like Cinderella to get prettified (well, as prettified as an old, wrinkled half-elf can be).

Besides the getting ready stuff? 

The cats have discovered the back deck is a good sitting spot as in higher than most stuff around.  They look like lions sitting on a hill looking down for a tid bit to eat.

This weather the past few days has, for reasons I have not a clue on, made me want to camp out at Sherwood even more. I bet the forest is breathtaking in the lit morning hours with fog everywhere...
