I don't know whether ye heard or not but USA Today was running a contest where you had to rewrite a stanza of "Margaritaville" to win.  Here be the ones that Captain Jasper and I entered:

1.  "Headin' for NOLA,
Passin' Angola,
Coming home with the wind in my sails.
Dreamin' of crawfish,
And it's my one wish,
To be suckin' some heads and a'pinchin' some tails."

2.  "I dream of a tall ship,
Makin' a long trip,
Guess I'm a pirate in search of a crew,
She said I'm a schemer,
I said I'm a dreamer,
She said there's no difference between the two."

3.  "Sailin' on the beam reach,
Can't wait till I beach,
Sit my weed puller on Buffet's barstool.
The trip was a long one,
Under the hot sun,
Can't wait to hydrate with somethin' that's cool."


We didn't win but it was fun!
