Guinevere of Leonesse

I'm even scared of our wonderful Queen but in a nice way though and even in front of my MIRF second cousin which some of you know, who is known as Sir William Sargent, Sergeant to Her Majesty. :) I know what I'm going to say in my own english accent being already British in real life but when I approach them, my words have vanished in thin air, my brain's gone blank and then I need help. :D
The more you worry, the longer it will take.

AnyuBoo

I get something of a case of stage fright around her as well, although, she's my role-model/idol (?) in my quest to leave my shell behind.  I just wish my tongue would quit tying itself in knots...

Even now, while attempting to type something halfway coherent, my brain is trying to seize up...  ::) *sigh*
When everything seems to be coming your way...
...you're in the wrong lane!

Anna Iram

I am looking forward greatly to meeting Elizabeth, having met her cousin Catherine here in Florida.

Yes it's officially offficial. I'll be visiting Labor Day weekend. Can't wait to see Hollygrove and to meet everyone. I am *very* much in need of a faire fix so watch out!  :D

Oh! LadyHawkeontheHill will be there the same weekend!

Madge Estes

::blushing::  You all are very kind!  I must admit I am a little overwhelmed that you have that response `cause "I'm just an actah"!  Indeed, an actor who LOVES her job!

Woot, Anna!  Heard the news from Ladyfair that you will be visiting.  Can't wait to see you and watch as you discover the magic that is Hollygrove!

Keep you oil caps tight....
Live so your dreams recognize you.

Lord Virgil

It absolutely shows that you love your job Madge Estes.  There is no queen at any faire that compares to you!!!  You have a grace and presence that could only be rivaled by true royalty.  At the feast on 2 occasions, you have shown favor to my calves as we men bow in your presence (much to the shagrin of my wife) and I was infinitely flattered both times.  We love you like family at MiRF!
Nothing better in life than enjoying a pint amongst friends...Huzzah!

For what it's worth, we were introduced to Her Majesty last year by Ladyfair and I couldn't have been more nervous if I was meeting the actual Queen! :o  Turned out all those nerves were wasted, as she was just as gracious as H.....errr...a Queen!  ::)

Lady Gwyndolyn

You will not find a most caring, down to earth, loving, sincere, honest, honorable, (and the word that DW uses to describe Her Majesty the most) REAL Queen ANYWHERE!!!!  She has a regal ora about her wether she is in or out of character.  She is a most formidable and magnanimous lady.  I will never ever forget the first time that I met her.  My knees were knocking!!!!!   If all the Queens that I have had the privledge of meeting, she tops them all!!!!!

*deep curtsy to Madge Estes*  as always DW and I are your most loyal and loving servants!!! We are so exited to have you back at the Northern shire.  A place full of those that love you with all of their hearts!!

OHHHHH, BTW,  I will have swatches on my person opening day.  If Her Majesty will have a moment or two to look at them?????  A beautiful sapphire blue velvet was found!!!

I couldn't have said it better myself.  Our Queen is the greatest by far, and the faire wouldn't be the same without her (no offense to the rest of the cast, you all are awesome as well!!!)

Lord Virgil, Elizabeth LOVES a well-turned calf, so the notice of yours was well deserved!  (with sincere respect to your wife, of course!)

I am in Pittsburgh right now, doing a show (not ren related), and will return to Hollygrove in time for opening.  Can't wait to see everyone!

Speaking of calves....have you noticed that your Master of Revels has a nice set? A few of us Wenches were on hand on Sunday for...um.... moral support, and this fact was duly noted.

Duke Fancypants--I mean, HIS GRACE, DUKE FAIRFAX, was noted this past weekend to have done a bang up job taking your part (in falsetto) in the opening scene.

I'm too busy making up poems about men and their need for codpieces the size of London to notice His Grace's calves. I get as far as that impossibly ginormous ego boost and it's too funny. When The Lord Mayor made a speech to Fairfax, playing the queen, calling him a most beautious rose, I think I had water shoot out my nose. Hysterical.

What's that??!? Duke Fairfax has commissioned a codpiece the size of London?

And he likes to run around Court dressed in Her Majesties gowns?

("Oooooh, I'm Duke Fairfax and I'm OK.....I sleep all night and I revel all day....")

You know...I think what Hollygrove really needs is a good gossip magazine.

I hope as a member of the actual company that runs the faire he is not in here. I really don't want to get, "that look" from him on Saturday. I'm nervous enough, but thinking of him in one of the queen's dresses, OMG too funny!! Especially with all that hair. We could put it up with bows and pearls. I really do need to stop this. He's my director this year (academy) and he has the ability to make me cringe. Still, this is so much fun.

TinGoliath

*Cackles and snickers at ALL the ideas going through my head for tin puppets to make this year*

Such is true, I have not made a Fairfax puppet.....

yet.......

And the one I made of King Phillip did include the shiny gold codpiece. *snicker*
