Lord and Lady Figaro....... :(

You are in my prayers, as is your mother. May you find comfort in knowing that the sun always shines despite the clouds.

My deepest sympathies to you both.

I am so sorry Brandi.  You, John and your family are in my prayers.  May you all have peace and comfort knowing she is no longer suffering.  She will be with you always though...as Tarac said, you have another angel to watch over you now.  Big hugs and much love to you both.

I'm so sorry to hear your sad news.  If there is anything I can do for you over the next few months, please don't hesitate to ask.  I'll do whatever I can.

So sorry...

Loss of Mother

Now that I am gone,
remember me with smiles and laughter.
And if you need to cry,
cry with your brother or sister
who walks in grief beside you.
And when you need me,
put your arms around anyone
and give to them what you need to give to me.
There are so many who need so much.
I want to leave you something --
something much better than words or sounds.
Look for me in the people I've known
or helped in some special way.
Let me live in your heart
as well as in your mind.
You can love me most
by letting your love reach out to our loved ones,
by embracing them and living in their love.
Love does not die, people do.
So, when all that's left of me is love,
give me away as best you can.

Brandi, I am so sorry to hear this.  Losing someone we love is never easy.
I hope that you and John can take some comfort from the fact that your mother is no longer in pain.
You know that I am always here for you if you need me and your family is certainly in my daily prayers.
Blessings to you.

I want to thank everyone for your kind words.  They mean more than I am able to communicate and are helping us through this.  We're bumping along, but for the most part we're doing okay.  It's a blessing to us that her pain was under control and that she didn't suffer in the end.  She just slipped away quickly and quietly and with a lot of dignity.

Noble Dreg - that poem is amazing....thank you for posting it.

Thanks again to all of you.  You are all truly part of our family.
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the number of moments that take our breath away.

Very sad news.  Having lost a parent several years ago, I never feel like the phrases "Sorry for your loss" or "my condolences" quite fit.

Lord & Lady Figaro,
May your memories of her always bring a smile to your lips and warmth to your heart.
