That was Rt. 450 closed but they have  reopened it. I can't imagine what they were thinking on closing a main rd. to renn. But yes it's opened, we traveled it last weekend.

Any reason on why that main road was closed for as long as it was?

There was about a 150 foot section that was WAY too low and flooded over every time it rained even a little bit.  They have raised that section about 15 feet so no hopefully it won't flood.
Why can't reality be more like faire?

So it's kind of like they went and built a flood wall on that road.............Right?

Well, I am off this evening... departing on the very long trip that will take me to you all, my friends, at MDRF.
See you on the morrow!

Sir Fletcher of Abingdon

Greetings Lords and Ladies and everyone else not sitting on a cushion.. I would like to offer a hardy welcome to everyone invading our humble shire of Revel Grove. On Sunday night after the faire has closed , M'lady and I shall be taking some friends to the Rams Head Roadhouse located right on General's Highway 10 minutes from the faire. I would love to take as many renfest people to this tavern and show them how to have a good time 16th century style. What say you all?? Shall we invade this pub and drink until our hearts fill???  They have a website with a menu on-line for people that wish to see it ahead of time.  Looking forward to seeing you all again this year.. Godspeed and Safe Journey.

Sir Fletcher of Abingdon

Better late than never.. I shall be there all three days with my Lady Leslie.

Oh...I have great memories of a previous MD Invasion.   Wish I could join you guys but I have to save my pennies for next year. :-\

Count: Safe travel friend ... arrive alive!

Sir Fletcher: Thank you for the invite - our crew sees each other off from the parking lot. Once the gates close we gather and tailgate - recounting the days events and wait for the lot to clear - you and yours are welcome to attend should you like. Typically I am in no shape to enter a public facility at closing - not to mention that I cannot wait to "dis-robe" and get comfortable. Again, join us for a quick bite and nip should you like.

Festmum: How I wish you were here again lass ... you will be missed.

Weather:

Sat H: 85 L: 66
Chance of showers

Sun H: 86 L: 63

Mon H: 86 L: 63

Suppose to be low humidity - so it should be a comfortable weekend.

Safe travels all!
