So... who's ready to give the Republicans crap at Fest this weekend? (That is, of any of them venture forth from St Paul to attend...)

I for one will be practicing some special hawks, just in case!  ;D :o 8)
Masquerading as a normal person day after day is exhausting.

Lord Figaro

People can go to the ride an elephant and they can shout "come ride a republican, they ride you all year long. You may as well get a turn to ride them for a chance".
Those who do not remember their past are condemned to repeat their mistakes.

Saw a bumper sticker today
"I'll hug your Elephant if you'll kiss my weed puller.. ::)

Love it!
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the number of moments that take our breath away.

It's almost sad how many people will take soap samples when I mention that there are Republicans around and at least the soap is good, clean and honest and will keep the republicans away....

speaking from the other side of the fence... (and I so know that this could be a very touchy subject)

Have you all seen the crazy protests that have been going on!!! For some reason all the chaos and violence just doesn't seem to be the way to "sway" people away from the RNC..... all it does for me is more firmly roots my beliefs..

and again.. I am not looking for a debate.. I don't care what political opinions people have, we all have them and of course we are all not going to have the same ones...

I just thought it was craziness what I saw on the news this morning!!

Amen!!!  I don't debate with friends on touchy subjects like politics...don't care what "side" yer on.  I respect that we all have different opinions; I just ask for the same respect in return.  (I'll keep you company, Muffin :))

I saw the violence of the protests last night and just shook my head. My boss and I think that's why yesterday sucked at fest. People either out showing their views or trying to avoid the whole thing.

I tend to hawk against all politicians for they all have "horrible stench" which gets laughs. I try to avoid talking politics because it all just bothers me. Actually, talking is okay. It's the arguing that gets me. If someone believes something so strongly, it's going to take a lot to change their minds and violence and negativity isn't the way to do it.

I am appalled by the violence as well. I expected protests, but not creepy peeps in black KKK-looking get-up throwing rocks.

The pro-unpopular-quagmire-of-a-war party always gets that treatment.  It could be worse.  It could be the '68 Democratic Convention.  Put in historical perspective, they're getting off pretty light (not that I condone any of that jazz).

And what's with all of these people at the protests labeling themselves anarchists?  Who scheduled their activities?  What are they, The United Anarchists?  Talk about an oxymoron.

My grandfather lives in Denver and it sounds like the protests their are just as bad as here.

According to the people from Washington Week, the protesters in Denver ended up giving up because they were so far away and rather restricted in their protesting.
