Yep - we just "blew" in ourselves.... what a blast of a weekend!

Lady Nicolette

Glad to see that the ones who left yesterday all seem to be chiming in that they've made it safely home.  Please post and let us know, those of you who have yet to do so when you can.

Athena and I saw lots of wind damage in Williams-whatever and we had no power all night (may even have been tornadic, since a couple of trees were uprooted).  Luckily, they kept their heads from rolling by making sure that they had giant thermoses of coffee for us in the morning, despite the lack of anything else needing electricity.

I had a lovely time with everyone, may we all meet again!

Thanks to all for making it a wonderful time. We (of course) have returned home safely. Now that was some wind. (no I didn't mean you Scotsman) LOL.

As posted, we got home safely (with a little adventure).

We even made a song up about the corn stalks blowing across the road to calm ourselves down.  xD

Oh...*sheepish look*...sorry about the crankiness this morning. I really did feel like I'd hurt someone if I didn't get my morning cup of coffee. Yep, I have a bit of a caffeine addiction.  :)

I had a great weekend and am glad to hear everyone made it home safe and sound!

I made it home around 8PM.  Sometime Sunday the power went out and didn't come on til almost 11 this morning.  Then a couple hours later the internet came back on.  I think my route home went around the storm as I didn't experience much wind after leaving the Cincinnati area and very little rain.

(Pardon the copy/paste from the "Weekend Weather" thread...I'm just too tired!)

I have a feeling I'm not in Kansas anymore...oh, wait...I didn't start there to begin with!!

Well...Mehan, Ewan, Dwyn and I left the Faire (unwillingly, trust me, but we were told that the Faire was closing and refunds available) on Sunday afternoon saying our "Farewell until the next time" to our wonderful friends from Maryland and Pennsylvania (Lady Guinness, Scotsman, DuCouer, Syrac,,,as well as our "local" friends..."WE LOVE YOU, MAAAAAAN!!") The drive back to Wilmington seemed almost SciFi with no power to the small towns we passed and trees, branches and leaf derbis scattered about. (Did my eyes deceive me or did the big sign at the entrance to the Faire also come down??) The Wilmington Inn (as well as the rest of the city) had no power and no place open to eat...FORTUNATELY...we thought to bring cheese, beef log, crackers and wine (as did Mehan and Ewan...great minds, what can I say?)....and while the wind howled we had a cozy lil' repast in our makeshift "Pub" at the Inn on a picnic table in a breezeway. Odd going to bed with no power and waking up to the same (This is supposed to be the Renaissance...Age of Enlightenment...NOT the Dark Ages...Hellloooo?) but we managed fairly well (NO COFFEE?!  :o) Driving up north we took stock of the damage up here as well and in parts and places around us, there is still no power but we weathered the storm with just a few branches down.

It was a hell of a wonderful weekend seeing you all at ORF and I apologize to many of you that I didn't say a personal "Hello" to AND to not thanking GingerKat for the wonderful picture she made me and her parents delivered when they came up to GLMF! I was hoping to spend more time with you all on Sunday...but it seems Mother Nature had her own plans.

I hope you are all now safe and sound at home and once more, Dwyn and I thank you for showing us a wonderful time at a Faire that has certainly won a place in our hearts as it was our first Faire we ever attended now some....19 years ago?  :o

Merry Meet, Merry Part, and Merry Meet Again!!

Lady Guinness

I am so happy to see that everyone has made it home safe. We ended up staying overnight in Washington PA, the wind was incredible and we were so tired that we had to stop for the night. This after having dinner with two great friends. Finally made it home around 0900 and to work by 1100. Thank you everyone for such an awesome weekend. It was a wonderful anniversary thanks to such special people. Thank you all for the thoughtfulness and yes...thanks for all the ALE!! Take care and huge HUGS!

Scotsman

Ditto what she said.
This weekend will go down as one of our best faire weekends ever! We cherished every moment we spent with you guys. Thank you for making our anniversary so special ... simply flawless.
