Most playtrons tend to do something that is wrong for them ... very mild usually ... unnoticeable for the mundane. Sometimes it is as simple as wearing a mix matched button or a different piece of garb. Md just goes crazy and it has snowballed into the phenomenally wrong.

Well, YEAH!  It IS MDRF... I particularly like the couple that go in period correct TYE DYED garb... WOOHOO!  I laugh every time I see them...
I don't know what you've heard, none of it is factual, but it's all true.

Oh yes - the tie dyed garb was wonderful! That's Sir William Cecil and Lady Stewart (aka Mickey and Marion) - they are awesome folks!

Unfortunately, that garb is gone.  :(

Lady Mikayla of Phoenicia

What happened to the tye dyed garb?

Oh Lady M............there was a terrible disaster. They lost their home in a storm - and all their belongings including their garb.

Thank goodness they are OK - but now they have to start completely over as far as material belongings are concerned.

Syrilla

If all else works, I will be there tomorrow morning!  Finally, one day is better than none!  I can't wait.... oh no, everything is packed already.

Lady Mikayla of Phoenicia

Syrilla I would hate if we missed you this past weekend however if you did make it I trust your visit to Fairhaven Shire was most agreeable?   :)

I hate to say it, and even though we have eaten dinner "off duty" at Chef Wang's, I'm not sure I would recognize her at faire without her royal garb. The weather cooperated so I hope all went well.

I, my wife and my son will be attending almost every day this year.  We always miss opening day as it happens to be the same day as the 'Brushy Mountain Apple Festival' and we help a friend with her leather work every year.   ...but the good news is that we're anticipating being there every other day.

(We're still trying to figure out who we 'are') My son has garb fit for a Musketeer, and he also 'borrows' my chainmail and sword for another look.  My wife and I will be garbed differently most weekends.  We came as Lusty Captain Lisa and her 'mate' Bloody Bob for the second weekend.  All in all we've found ourselves overwhelmed in deciding 'who' to be...so we'll just change it up and play a different game every weekend.  I did get some leather armor this year and cannot wait to show up all weighted down (I think it weighs in around 30 - 35 lbs.)

Raibeart and Lord Caleb I've added your names to the list. Do remember and make plans to stop by the tailgate during the final weekend. Its a great opportuinty to meet the gang from both the R/F forum and the Clan M'Crack!

Yes, I did make it for a few wonderful hours.  I was in a blue gown, antique gold forpart and sleeves, with black hat and feathers.  I had fun, saw many old friends, and met a few.  I only saw two RF'ers... where did you all go?  I wish I could have stayed and played longer.  Thanks to the cast and friends.

I believe that we were all clustered around the 'pub' in the shade, for the most part.   ;)  We were with a bunch of pirates... and since Lady M and I were cheering most loudly throughout the day at various shows/jousts, we had to keep our throats well and truly oiled with some libations from the pub.  Sorry we missed you!!!

Speaking of pubs...*sigh*. I pretty much camped out at the pub at "NCRF" both days that I was there. The most beautiful 'bar wenches' had nothing to do with that! I was apparently sauced enough that a knight expressed concern over my well-being. Obviously I made it! Haha! A funny thing that occured: After a long, busy day in the pub that Saturday, I somehow made it to the Sheraton hotel and stumbled in, dressed as I did back then: Totally in black complete with black BDU pants, a somewhat diabolical metal band's shirt, arm bracers, and spiked boots that belong at a metal concert. It being the Sheraton on a weekend, there was a high-society meeting going on...apparently due to copious amounts of mead, I had a tough time finding the huge front desk. Hey, not my fault they had a small ice-sculpture in front of it! I had to ask a fine gentleman in a clawhammer-tail coat and a ten gallon hat where the front desk was. I'll ne'er forget the look on his face. PRICELESS! I think he thought his meeting was about to be invaded by a highly inebriated version of Lucifer! Haha! ...and that was a hillarious moment brought to you by the pub at NCRF!

So far so good for Saturday. Brother Timothy is looking forward to his first visit of the season. Just keeping my fingers crossed that the Abbot doesn't find anything requiring my attention on Saturday.

Brother Hibernian, you must catch Cast in Bronze, it was FABULOUS!
