Hey guys,

I was just talking with my sister about the  ship game that is played in front of the first food area near the entrance. Anybody have any information on it? If the game is able to be purchased somewhere for table top? etc?

Any info would be great.

9 months til cannon...it's 1/4 of the way here!

Actually I think I answered my own question....it can be found at http://www.boardgamegeek.com/image/94260 if anyone else wanted it.

I literally have hundreds of these little ships.....just haven't been able to find anyone who wanted to play.  It's a fairly time consuming table top miniatures game, so if you like fasted paced games, this is not for you.  Great for those that like strategy games though.

You don't play it with a time limit like they do at Fest? Also, did you just buy the ships? I was thinking of doing this for my Monday Night game night with my friends. Do you feel it would be easy enough to explain? We do play alot of card games like Munchkin, ZombieFlux, and others.

The Navy game is based on the Pirate's game, with a couple of modifications. One of the guys in the Royal Navy works at an acrylics shop and hand made all of the pieces.

It looks like fun!
One more thing to add to the "wanna do" list! :D

Dan Kujowski - And I think he owns a shop.  At least he did a while back.

I always wondered where the idea for the game came from.

I have a client who has tons of ships all around his room so I was sure to check this out the last 2 yrs. I'm not into gaming but they made it fun to watch. I assumed they were made of wood but you say they are acrylic?

MissBubu

Yep, acrylic, and yep, Dan. He stores the navy dinghie in his shop on the off season.

I went to the local game shop here in lovely Bellevue, WA (Yes sadly I have moved away from our lovely Minnesota.) to look for Pirates of the Spanish Main, only to find out sadly from the clerk that the company who makes the game has gone out of business. :(  I'm so sad!

Okay, I just had to look this info up.  Looks like WizKids (Pirates, Mage Knight, HeroClix) was bought out by Topps Trading Company (think baseball cards) in 2003.  They basically shut them down at the beginning of November this year because they want to continue to focus on sports related items and not fantasy games "in this rough economic time".

I did find a place online that was selling boxes of the booster packs. I picked up 2 boxes for 50 bucks...let's see 2 ships a pack at 18 packs...36 ships x2 boxes...72 ships in my armada...Now to find some friends who would like to play this game... :)
