Ever encountered a ninja at a Renaissance Faire/ Festival or event while in pirate garb?  If so, how did the encounter proceed?

I've heard there be ninjas about, but I can never spot the sneaky buggers...  :D

Jack you missed the kid at MRF with his shirt pulled up over half of his face and armed with a leather claw glove.  Little bugger pestered me frequently!

This year my friend went as a sort of ninja/oriental thing. Black cape, katana sword, etc. He walked out alive though. Too many mundanes in the area... ;)

That *proves* it!
The ninjas, they are in league with these "mundanes"! ;)

Down here in Texas, we're in the middle of a bitter pirate/ninja war. We have recently called a temporary truce, a sort of alliance, to bring down the Queen of England.

We Texan pirates do what we have to in order to get the job done, even if it DOES mean being in league with ninjas for awhile...

Our bosun meet up with a playtron in Ninja garb at CTRF this year  - they met head to head, and circled each other, in a semi crouch, one and a half times round, then each turned and continued walking.

Funny as hell to watch from our pirate encampment. Could not have been rehearsed better.

Ninja are almost pirates, only they drink less, have less fun and thier garb is boring.

On the other hand, they do have Geisha - can you say "Happy Ending" ?
If the rum's gone, so is the fun

Oh, THAT kid?  I thought he was just another kid hopped up on too much anime and Red Bull!  :D

So far none spotted at the events I go to.

Just plain luck. ;)

We had a troupe of about 5 or 6 ninjas show up at St. Louis Pirate Fest this year.  They had signs saying things like "Ninjas rule, pirates drool" and such.  They were videotaping for some website...didn't catch (or remember because of rum) the site.  They would pop in at different shows and sort of gently disrupt...but they were good about not stepping on the acts I thought.  There would be good natured trash talk back and forth ("We have coats, you have pajamas", etc).  I'm happy to say that when the group showed up at a pub where a memorial service was being held for a rennie who had died the previous weekend, they promptly left when asked not to disrupt there because of the service.  That is really the only Ninja encounter so far (barring the random loner in black jammies at faire).
I'm not fat, it's just that a skinny body couldn't hold ALL THIS PERSONALITY! ;)

very easy to take care of a ninja.  You simply remind them that by downloading music and anime they are engaging in cacts of piracy and in fact are pirates.  then you grab some rum and drink to their health.
