making decent fairy wings?

so I wanna try at least once to make so half way decent looking fairy wings and i was just wondering, if anyone knew some helpful we sites that might have tutorials on things.

I used ideas from this site to make my cellophane wings.  I added little silver stars between the layers and didn't make the layers flat before heating/shrinking them because I liked the extra texture.  I also used coat hangers as the frame (almost TOO strong!)  The husband spray painted them black and used electrician cable tape (fiber optic?) to keep the pieces together.  I made the bottom rather squarish and wrapped it in black electrical tape then covered that with a black sock that I sewed the top closed.  (This way if the tape heats up and gets sticky I won't.  Plus the sock makes sliding the wings down my back nice and gives them a little more grip between clothing layers.) 
I enjoyed making my wings, I figure that you really can't make them "wrong" if you enjoy how they turn out!  =)

  awesome I will have to take a look at all of these in more detail later....sadly my home internet is acting like a major pain in the weed puller so I out hijacking a coffee shops wifi at the moment.... and since i am out around town OF COURSE I am out runnin errands to so kind of pressed on time to actually look at the web sites but i Promise to when I has enough time to.
