its the ending of the twelveth century. some are calling this era the early renaissance.  merry old england has not long ago been invaded and taken over by the normans.  the continental ways infiltrate the old saxon life.  the world is changing.

and we here in sherwood forest have embraced change.

we want to assure the best of the old and the best of new merge into something quite spectacular within a mere 240+ days.

please heed this call and become a part of a new, very old tradition...a country faire where troubadors, minstrils, artists, artisans, farmers, merchants all huddle to celebrate, entertain, sell their wares and enjoy the company of each other.

we are giving general direction as to the development, but each of you must please become a part of the creation.

this faire, this extravaganza, is to be a great mosaic.

and it will continue over time to evolve into something none of us can even imagine.
