Hello!  I am trying to start a Renn Faire in Ada, OK.  Have secured a great location here for 1st weekend on May.  Any performers/vendors out there interested?  Email Jennifer Q.  at jquidas@adachamber.com

Tell me more... I'm out of the Shawnee area. I've already got Norman in March and Spavinaw in April. I could use an early May date. You do know that you're going up against Muskogee's opening weekend...?

I don't want or need a stage... just a plot of land somewhere in the thick of it where I can pitch a tent if I feel like it, and the go ahead to sell merchandise (ie. CDs) and glean tips. (If you want me on a stage, you would actually have to pay me.)
Have you ever imagined a world with no hypothetical situations?

Greetings Fellow Okie!

That is wonderful that you want to start a festival in Ada - haven't been back to that beautiful area in well over 10 years.  While I'd love to bring my Stage show to your festival, alas, we are already booked for the first weekend in May 2010.  Not only is that opening weekend for the Muskogee show but it is also the weekend of the 1st annual Pirate Fest at Middlefaire in Hillsboro, Tx.

Please do advise if you have a change in your dates or if you need any assistance, just holler, I'd be glad to help in any way I can.  I can be reached via private e-mail at: OkieRennie1 at AOL dot COM (correcting the addy, of course).

Have a wonderful day and best of luck with your endeavors,

Just so you know, in addition to the other festivals you've named, you're running against Scarborough Faire in Waxahachie, TX (just outside DFW).  I don't know how far south you are thinking to pull from, so it may not matter.  Just thought I'd mention it. :)

I am not an employee of Scarborough Faire and to not represent them in any way.

Thanks for the input. I am putting this off until next May, although it will be the same weekend.  For those of you who offered to help and perform, you'll be hearing from me!

I know it does conflict with other festivals, but that's the only weekend the facility is available.  Thanks again, and I'll be contacting you soon.

In place of the faire here this year, I am putting on a farm & lifestyle show...

Yep, you nearly gotta forget about whether you conflict with another Faire or not....just have your Faire and have fun.

If you give me your event's name, website & finalized date, I'll add it to the list on my website:  www.meistersrealm.com  I list all of the Renfaires in & around Oklahoma.  Good luck next year!
