Yea, Lady de Laney!  Good luck on your interview.  And use to your advantage why you've been let go, how they want to keep you, when going on your interview.  Let your new prospective bosses realize how valuable you really are.

Our son works as a website designer for a huge company in Massachusetts.  He is on contract, too.  There is only 1 salaried person in his position, and him.  They keep extending his contract and want to hire him, but again, the higher ups, who don't even know him, are looking at the bottom line and have put on a hiring freeze.  So we know a little of how you feel, since it's so iffy every time his contract comes up again.
